Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World

Volume 5 Chapter 9

The scene had turned into a hellish tableau, with bodies torn apart, their remains scattered around, making it impossible to identify the owners. Unending screams, cries of despair, and final gasps echoed through the air.

“Why… why are we being overwhelmed by these monsters?” one of the knights from the Gorfalles Magic Paladin Order exclaimed, his voice trembling with fear, as he witnessed his comrades being effortlessly slain by the two women before him.

“It’s absurd! We have nearly 400 knights with enchanted weapons, and yet we are being overpowered by just two women!” another knight shouted.

“It’s ridiculous that our magic weapons are ineffective against them!”

The knights of the Gorfalles Magic Paladin Order, driven by instinctive fear, retreated little by little, while lamenting the loss of their comrades who were being mercilessly cut down one after another. They were completely overwhelmed by the sight of Chitose and Chiyoda, who had become avatars of death, harvesting their comrades’ lives with ease.

“Damn it, they have troublesome weapons, and their numbers are too great. This is getting out of hand,” Chitose remarked.

“You’re right… Shall we leave it to me, sister? I can handle them alone,” Chiyoda replied casually, as if suggesting a trip to a convenience store while slaughtering knights in passing.

“Yes, you go ahead. As I said earlier, I can handle this on my own.”

Slaying the knights who sporadically attacked them in the midst of their conversation, Chitose and Chiyoda walked forward with a carefree attitude, as if going shopping at a nearby convenience store.

“Well then, I’ll clear the way, and you, sister…” Chiyoda’s words were interrupted by a sudden attack.

“Ugh, you dare underestimate us! May you regret your arrogance in the afterlife!” the enraged Gorfalles Magic Paladin Order’s leader, Reinhardt Arfen, shouted as he leaped towards Chitose and Chiyoda, his body enhanced by magic and wielding the formidable weapon, Caladbolg.

Reinhardt, driven by rage at being treated lightly by Chiyoda, who suggested she could handle them alone, activated his body enhancement magic, doubling his speed and strength, and delivered a powerful horizontal swing with Caladbolg.

“You’ll be the one regretting in the afterlife!” he exclaimed.

Chiyoda easily responded to Reinhardt’s lightning-fast attack, blocking his swing with her naginata, and swiftly prepared to counterattack.

“Tch!” she clicked her tongue.

However, Reinhardt, being the leader of the renowned Gorfalles Magic Paladin Order, quickly realized her intentions and evaded backward.

In the next instant, where Reinhardt had been standing moments ago, a loud crash resounded, accompanied by a large dent in the ground and a billow of dust.

“Hmph, if I get too close, I’ll be killed by her strange magic. It seems ranged attacks won’t work either. How troublesome. But with me and Caladbolg…” Reinhardt cursed as he noticed that one person was missing beyond the gradually thinning dust.

“What? Why is there only one figure and… Ah!”

“What!? Ha… hahaha, that can’t be true! Why… why did my body shift without even moving…!?”

“What’s happening? Why are you being cut down without anyone attacking you!?”

Immediately after, blood spattered from some of the knights who had been observing the situation from a distance, and they met their deaths.

“That accomplishment was, of course, achieved by Chitose, who ran through the knights like a gust of wind, using Chiyoda’s diversion as a decoy to cut off Marie’s head.

“You let her escape? That’s a big mistake. My sister is merely going to cut off that woman’s head,” said Linehalt, denying his previous words.

Brandishing her naginata and sweeping away the dust with a swift strike, Chiyoda walked forward, refuting Linehalt’s mistaken words and swinging her naginata in a preparatory motion.

“Haha! This is a masterpiece. You really thought you could take on me alone and win. Especially as a woman! How arrogant!” Linehalt laughed.

“Don’t bark, underling. Your lack of magnanimity is revealed. Well, I’ve pretty much assessed your skills. I don’t want to waste any more effort, so come at me all together! Then, you might be able to pierce me with your blades,” Chiyoda provoked, her naginata pointed towards Linehalt.

Linehalt’s forehead tensed with several prominent veins as he prepared to face Chiyoda after finishing his light warm-up exercise, readjusting his grip on his naginata with both hands and pointing the blade towards her.

“Everyone…? Taking on the entire Gurfales Magic Knights Order alone, even after fighting advantageously until now? Including me and the knights… We’ve been greatly underestimated. Fine! Uttering such delusions, you’ll regret it after you’re dead!” Linehalt exclaimed.

Provoked by Chiyoda’s challenge, Linehalt, driven to the edge, rallied the remaining 314 soldiers of the Gurfales Magic Knights Order to confront Chiyoda.

“All troops, follow meee!!”

“Uoohhhh!!”

Led by Linehalt, the knights surged forward like an avalanche, closing in on Chiyoda.

But it was akin to rushing toward their own demise.

“Uraaaahhh!”

“Watch your pitiful subordinates die before you die,” Chiyoda said.

“What!? Gghh!”

Easily evading Linehalt’s attack, Chiyoda used his head as a stepping stone, leaping over it. While Linehalt was clumsily burying his head in the ground, she declared her intentions to the remaining knights.

The knights, who never even considered the possibility that their leader would be so easily defeated and that Chiyoda’s spear would turn towards them, paled in the face. And amidst their shock, blood-streaked blades glistened.

“Geh… that woman!! Playing around like this… Tear her apart…!”

Wiping off the dirt from his face, Linehalt, who had violently struck his nose and winced in pain, turned around. What he saw was Chiyoda slaughtering his subordinates one after another.

Those who dared to stand against Chiyoda were cleaved in mid-air, their bodies dismembered. Those who couldn’t bear the fear and tried to escape became prey to gravity weapons, transforming into pools of blood.

The remaining knights, already reduced to a handful, were being slain one after another, their numbers rapidly dwindling.

“Sto… stop!”

Recovering from a momentary pause, Linehalt regained his senses and rushed to aid his subordinates, but it was already too late.

Chiyoda had swiftly cut down all 312 knights, leaving only one. She severed the head of the knight, who had lost both arms and was kneeling, as if realizing something.

Linehalt, who had picked up the severed head of his vice-captain, closed his eyes after staring at the wide-open eyes and gently placed it on the ground. Then.

Modern Weapons in Another World

Volume 5 Chapter 8

Perhaps due to May blues, my writing activities are progressing slowly.

(;´д`)

====================================================================

The Gulfarless Magic Holy Knight Order headed towards Chitose and Chiyoda, known as formidable opponents. Meanwhile, the Roen Church Knight Order and the top-ranked Holy Maiden Alexia Islacia headed towards Cecilia, their deeply connected nemesis.

On the other hand, the assassins’ group, Bloody Fang, remained in place without making any moves, perhaps observing the unfolding battle. Unaware that it would become their final resting place.

“Archers, ready!! Fire!!”

Just before Chitose and Chiyoda, who had drawn their weapons and rushed towards the Gulfarless Magic Holy Knight Order, clashed, the archers of his knight order took the initiative and released magical arrows called “Golden Arrows” and “Silver Arrows” from their magical weapons called Akkinu Fort (a bow with no wasted movements), which had a perfect hit rate.

A swarm of nearly a hundred magical arrows, with slight angles and drawing nearly horizontal parabolic arcs, rushed towards Chitose and Chiyoda as if guided by their intentions.

However, Chitose and Chiyoda were not so fragile as to be defeated by such magical arrows.

“Shoot them down!”

At the same time Chiyoda shouted while charging, all the magical arrows were knocked down by an unseen force and embedded into the ground.

“What!?”

“No way!”

“How did she manage to bring down all the arrows!?”

The archers, astonished by the fact that all the perfectly aimed magical arrows were forcefully brought down to the ground, were unaware that Chiyoda’s arm contained a gravity weapon.

Although Chiyoda’s gravity weapon, which had also demonstrated its effectiveness in the Hydra battle, had not yet reached completion, it had been improved in terms of power, duration, and effective range.

Therefore, regardless of the distance or the wide area, it was possible to shoot down every single magical arrow.

“Don’t panic! Next!”

“Understood! Pierce through, Gáe Bolg!”

“Pierce through, Gungnir!”

After witnessing the interception of the magical arrows, two magical spears, imbued with the concept of always hitting the target, were thrown toward Chitose and Chiyoda from among the charging knights.

“Take this back!!”

However, shouting the names of their magical weapons proved fatal for the spear throwers.

Chitose and Chiyoda, well aware of the effects of the famous spears, swiftly grabbed the spears flying towards their vital points, just before they pierced their hearts and threw them back at their enemies.

“Ugya!”

“Guh!”

“GYAAA!”

Despite being spears that were supposed to have a guaranteed hit rate, they were ultimately thrown at a speed that humans accelerated with magic.

For Chitose, who transcended the framework of a human, and Chiyoda, an artificial intelligence infused with emotions and equipped with a combat-oriented bio-terminal, such speeds were not a threat. It was easy for them to catch and neutralize the spears just before they hit.

The spears, Gay Bolg and Gungnir, thrown back at more than twice the speed of the knights who threw them, impaled not only their owners but also the knights behind them, finally coming to a stop.

“Die!”

“Take this!”

Without even pausing their steps, Chitose and Chiyoda not only defended against the enemy’s attacks but also counterattacked. They infiltrated the openings of the disoriented knight order, who possessed powerful magic weapons, and effortlessly slew them one after another as if performing a martial arts demonstration.

“Don’t get in my way!”

Immediately after jumping into the midst of the enemy and engaging in close combat, Chitose swiftly beheaded five knights

“When a knight wielding the immortal sword Durandal approached, delivering a fierce slash, it was effortlessly deflected and countered by a swift swing of a Japanese katana. The knight’s wrist spun as he retaliated, attempting to decapitate his opponent. However, the knight’s arms, grasping the demonic sword Flunting, were severed in one swift motion.

With his arms severed, the knight cried out in agony as Chitose, who had taken Flunting, proceeded to attack him relentlessly with a dual-wielding style of Japanese katana and Flunting. Inflicting maximum pain, she skillfully delivered precise strikes to the knight’s neck and body, severing his limbs and causing him excruciating torment with each strike.

“S-Save me! Gyyyyahhh!”

“You monster! My sword—Gwah!?”

“Die in agony!”

Amidst the splattering blood and raging storm of slashes, Chitose, the source of the tempest, continued to swing her blades fueled by anger.

“Now, who among you wants to become a pile of flesh?”

Meanwhile, Chiyoda was crushing the knights surrounding her while wielding all her armaments.

“Uwoooooo!”

“Go, go!”

“Get ’em!”

The knights surrounding Chiyoda, provoked by her taunts, moved in unison.

However, their lives were trampled beneath Chiyoda’s fingertips alone.

“Sink.”

Pointing her index finger downward with a gruesome smile, she uttered just one word.

Immediately after, a squelching sound of flesh being crushed resonated, and dozens of crimson stains and scraps of armor and demonic weapons formed a macabre scene around Chiyoda.

“Not… enough!”

“Don’t underestimate us!”

“So, the minions are getting confident.”

Driven by reckless courage in the face of their comrades’ gruesome deaths, the knights continued to charge one after another.

While gazing at the knights with eyes that could even see them as mere roadside trash, Chiyoda fought back with blades, guns hidden in her arms and legs, and deadly poisons.

“Le-let go! Gyyahh! Aaaaahhh! It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts! Help! Someone, help me! Gyaahhh!”

“Save me! Someone, help!”

The knight wielding the Blue-Red Sword and the knight wielding the Heaven-Reaching Sword had their demonic weapons destroyed and were at Chiyoda’s mercy.

The one with his right hand had his arm dismantled and dismembered while still alive by a chain blade hidden in Chiyoda’s arm. The one with his left hand had his face burned by the acidic venom extracted from a demon called Poison Frog, which was poured from a built-in tube in Chiyoda’s palm. Finally, his head was severed, and he breathed his last.

“Hiiii!”

In the face of such gruesome deaths, the knights momentarily froze.

“Heh, like shooting ducks.”

Although it was only a moment, Chiyoda laughed and swept away the knights who had become sitting ducks with a small-caliber concealed gun hidden in her elbow.

As countless bullets rained down, the knights, having finished their strange dance, collapsed one after another, forming a mountain of corpses.

“Let’s… continue!”

“We won’t be underestimated!”

“Let’s go, all out!”

Without a moment to catch their breath, Chitose and Chiyoda, having annihilated the knights around them in an instant, readied their weapons once more and plunged back into the midst of the remaining enemies.

“Your life will be the price to pay

However, amidst the knights who had begun to flee, there was someone who stood firm and calmly confronted the approaching slime, raising their sword.

“Hmph!”

A flash. The blade swung down from above, releasing an invisible edge that sliced through the ground and the air, and then cut the slime’s body in half, right through its round core at the center.

The slime, now divided into two halves, trembled and then lost its shape, liquefying completely. Finally, its liquid form seeped into the ground, disappearing from sight.

“You finally showed up, Alexia.”

Ignoring the defeated slime, Sericia wore a smirk, twisting her lips into a crescent moon shape.

“You, who refuse to follow the gods, the enemy of the divine. You, the heretic who worships the evil god. May my sword rust through your wickedness.”

“Well…”

However, upon seeing Alexia, who held her Buster Blade in front of her with an empty expression, Sericia’s smile vanished in an instant.

She frowned and let out a heavy sigh.

“To manipulate Alexia’s consciousness and control her at will… One could say this is the pinnacle of depravity. But it seems fitting to call you an outlaw.”

“I did not wish for such a thing either. However, it is all your fault. Because you filled Saint Alexia’s pure heart with lies and deceit, doubt has arisen within her. It’s your fault! You misled her!”

Bishop Levelc, a high-ranking bishop who had appeared behind Alexia, glared at Sericia with a fierce expression as he spoke.

“Lies and deceit? How absurd. I merely exposed your wicked actions.”

“To think you would audaciously say such things! Not content with your fall into heresy, you even delude the heart of the Saint with your false words! Unforgivable! Indeed, you cannot be allowed to live! Saint Alexia, under the name of God, eliminate that heretic woman!”

“Understood.”

Without any expression, Alexia nodded in response to Levelc’s words and swiftly closed the distance between her and Sericia. She swung her Buster Blade down towards Sericia’s head.

“It’s useless.”

However, Alexia’s blade did not harm Sericia’s body.

“What!? Ugh!!”

Not only that but as Alexia attacked Sericia, she was blown away with tremendous force and crashed into a pile of rubble.

“Ugh… Guuuh… Gyaah!!… Ugh, ughh…”

As Alexia tried to stand up after crashing into the rubble, a gust of wind sliced through her, dealing a devastating blow to her entire body, even through her armor.

And just as her armor, which had protected her master until the very end, shattered, Alexia also lost consciousness, her strength completely drained.

“S-Saint Alexia!? What madness!! Stand up, Alexia! You must… eliminate that heretic woman!”

In a frenzy upon realizing that Alexia had been defeated, Levelc suddenly appeared like a ghost, intervened between Sericia and Alexia, and sent Alexia flying, pursuing her to the point of incapacitation. Witnessing this, his eyes widened.

“Are you alright, Sericia?”

“Yes, thanks to you, I have not a single scratch. Adele. Your timing for appearing was perfect as well.”

“I see.”

Sericia, with a warm smile reminiscent of a young girl, praised Adele, who had appeared before her by deactivating her optical camouflage.

However, Adele, wearing a stern expression and exuding a dark and eerie aura from her body, responded briefly to Sericia’s words and immediately shifted her gaze forward.

“Now then, let me express my gratitude first.

Adel, who had brushed off the blood and fat of Levelc from the Holy Sword and sheathed it, had lost all the hesitation that had always been there and instead harbored a strong resolve in her eyes as she glared at Levelc.

By almost losing Kazuya, Adel had a clear understanding of her feelings toward him and stopped deceiving herself. She had undoubtedly become stronger than before.

“Aah, aaah, aaahh!! My, my body… aaaaah!!”

“Well, well.”

As Levelc, oozing internal organs and dripping fresh blood from the severed area, writhed in excruciating pain, Ceresia, hiding a delighted smile on her lips, approached.

“Well, well… what a… undignified sight. It suits you quite well, though.”

“Grrrr!! How dare you!! How dare you, you heretic!! You defiled woman!! I won’t forgive you, I won’t!!”

“…Hmm, seems to have worked nicely.”

Despite losing half of her body, Levelc continued to shower her with insults, and Ceresia nodded repeatedly, satisfied.

“You, you scum!! Why are you nodding—”

“Silence!! Did you think I would easily forgive someone like you? The sin of insulting Kazuya-sama and disparaging our faith will never be forgiven!!”

“Gyaah!! Gyaahhh!! Why… why can’t I die?!”

Ceresia, engulfed in an aura and with a changed tone, vented her anger and gouged Levelc’s heart with a knife she had.

As a result, copious amounts of blood spurted from Levelc’s chest, but Levelc did not die.

“I had your body assimilated by a slime. Without my permission, you cannot die anymore. Suffer for eternity.”

“A slime!? But slimes were—”

“Hmph, it’s inconceivable for my trump card, the slime, to be just an ordinary slime. Well, it doesn’t matter anymore. Shut your mouth, let your body return to normal, and we’ll continue this on the mainland.”

With an expression of disdain, Ceresia laughed at Levelc through her nose, and as she said so, the slime that should have been defeated and absorbed by Alexia appeared from the ground and inside Levelc’s body, repairing the bisected body.

“Ugogogogogoo!!”

Assimilated by the slime and transformed into part of it, Levelc was denied the right to die and was destined to experience a living hell through torture inflicted by Ceresia and the followers of the Nagato sect.

“…Ceresia, won’t you kill him?”

“Well, yes. I won’t be satisfied until I’ve tormented him a bit more.”

“I see.”

Adel, who had tried to stylishly cut Levelc in half and kill him, had her plans thwarted by Ceresia, and she responded with a slightly disappointed expression.

“Now then, it’s Alexia’s turn.”

Having dealt with Levelc, Ceresia, accompanied by the slightly dejected Adel, walked towards the unconscious Alexia.

“…How pitiful. To be manipulated like a puppet by such a man. But it’s alright now. Not as a repayment, but I will save you.”

Along with Ceresia’s words of pity, Alexia’s body was entwined by numerous vines.

“Don’t worry. There’s nothing to be concerned about. By the time you wake up next, you will have obtained the qualification to serve the true god, just like everyone else.”

Having witnessed Alexia’s unconscious body being dropped into a pitcher plant’s trap, Ceresia wore a wicked expression

MODERN WEAPONS CHEAT in ANOTHER WORLD

Volume 5 Chapter 7

A surprise attack on Parabellum’s mainland was carried out by the assassins’ group called Bloody Fang, who attempted to assassinate Kazuya, and the Emperor’s direct command unit, the Gulfarez Magic Paladin Brigade, engaged in destructive activities and the dispersal of biological weapons as a diversion for the assassination.

However, although they successfully attacked the prison island, they lost six out of the seven Holy Maidens, who were the main force of the knight order, and they could only rescue a few prisoners, far less than the planned number. The group, consisting of three factions—the Roen Church Knight Order—proceeded at a slow pace, exuding a tense atmosphere, as they made their way at the foot of the Zain Mountains.

Originally, Chitose and the others were supposed to return triumphantly to the capital after completing the mission of assassinating Kazuya and rescuing the prisoners, garnering applause and attention from the people. However, due to the failure of their mission and the intense bombardment by the Parabellum Air Force, they had to avoid populated areas and their return became a lonely journey akin to an escape.

“Nhufufu~ ♪ Fufu~ ♪”

However, amidst that group, there was one person who was in high spirits.

Yes, it was her, the one who currently encapsulated Chitose’s fervent (hatred) feelings.

“…You seem to be in a good mood, Nee-san.”

“Hmm? Do you think so?”

“Well, if you’re humming so happily, anyone can tell.”

“Heheh, I suppose you’re right. Nhufufu~♪”

Ah, this is not good. This person is completely elated. Bolmer Martinez, the vice captain of the assassins’ group Bloody Fang led by Marie Maiden, secretly sighed as he watched his superior happily humming.

“Nee-san, you’re getting too carried away just because you coincidentally found the ideal soul in the enemy nation. We lost comrades, and the mission was a failure… Please show some restraint. Besides, we still have the Church’s people to deal with.”

“Hmph, just leave those people alone. Pathetic knights who were overwhelmed by a former Holy Maiden and beaten up by the traitorous prisoners… really.”

“Wait!? Nee-san!?”

“What is it!?”

“Insolent creatures!!”

As Marie’s deliberately spoken words reached their ears, Bolmer’s eyes widened, and immediately the insulted knights of the Roen Church charged towards Marie.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Did you overhear the truth?”

“You!!”

“Stop!! Even if they’re demi-humans, they are our allies for now. We won’t allow you to lay a hand on them.”

I’ll take you on if you want. Marie continued to provoke them with an attitude as if challenging them, but the enraged knights, despite their desire to draw their weapons, reluctantly released their grip on the handles.

And among that sight, Alexis Islashia, the sole surviving Holy Maiden and the top-ranked member of the Seven Holy Maidens, watched intently with an expression filled with anguish.

“Phew… Those Church people really are a nuisance.”

As Marie watched the knights walk away after being reprimanded by Reberk, she couldn’t help but complain, as if suggesting that the problem lay with the other side, despite being the one who had instigated the conflict.

“It’s not your place to say that.”

“Well, it’s your turn next, isn’t it? It’s troublesome… ever since you found your beloved— I mean, Kaz— you’ve been like this.”

Marie successfully managed to deflect the situation at the last moment, as revealing that

Marie, who was walking through the cave leading to the hidden village where the headquarters were located, noticed something decisive.

“Oh… There’s no one here.”

There were no sentries, who should have been there without fail.

“Everyone, be cautious.”

“Understood.”

In a low voice, Marie warned only her subordinates. She quietly moved into a position where she could use the Gourfares Magic Paladin Order and the Church Knights as shields, not noticing the anomaly as she had come to the Assassin Guild’s headquarters for the first time.

“Oh my… That’s unexpected.”

And as she sensed the anomaly and continued forward, Marie understood the reason why there were no sentries and why her subordinates, who were supposed to have gone ahead to the hidden village, had not returned.

“What is this…?”

“What is it!?”

“What’s happening!?”

“This can’t be… It’s a lie.”

“Where is everyone!?”

Beyond the cave, the hidden village, illuminated only by torches and artificial light from magic due to the lack of sunlight underground, was ruthlessly half-destroyed.

Houses made of rocks and soil were collapsed and scattered as debris everywhere. Moreover, all over the main street of the hidden village visible in front, blood stains were smeared and pools of blood formed on the ground. Additionally, amidst the rubble, red-black chunks of flesh were scattered about.

“Hehehe, it’s getting interesting.”

While the knights were dismayed and in despair, Marie’s eyes sparkled, regardless of the grotesque scene unfolding before her.

“Well, shall we go?”

With a disturbing smile on her face, Marie called out to not only her subordinates but also the members of the Gourfares Magic Paladin Order and the Church Knights, who were hesitating in the face of the devastated state of the hidden village.

“Go!? Where to?”

“Of course, further ahead. My guess is… an enraged monster waiting. If we defeat it, we might be able to safely escape from here, don’t you think?”

“Going to a place where a monster with the power to destroy the Assassin Guild’s headquarters might be waiting? That’s ridiculous! It’s like rushing into an orc’s nest unarmed!”

“That’s right, big sister! We should withdraw for now and deal with the branch members—”

“Really, you guys are so pathetic… Oh, and this is just a piece of advice, but I wouldn’t recommend trying to escape to the outside through the cave we passed a while ago.”

Since there seem to be a lot of them. Marie deliberately muddled her words and gave an ambiguous answer in response to Reinhard’s question and Vollmer’s suggestion.

Prompted by Marie’s cryptic words, Reinhard, Vollmer, and the others turned their gaze to the dark cave behind them, where something was squirming in large numbers.

“……”

Seeing the swarm of something filling the cave, Reinhard and the others abandoned their retreat from behind and reluctantly decided to follow Marie’s words.

“Form a tight formation!”

“Shields and spears in front, swords in the middle, bows in the rear!”

“Alright! Everyone, forward!”

“Now then. Will it be demons, snakes, or perhaps a dragon? Whatever it is, it seems like it will be enjoyable. Hehehe.”

As if to shake off the rising fear, they raised their voices and formed a tight formation, the clashing sound of armor rubbing against each other resounding, as the two knight orders advanced into the depths of the hidden village.

Continuing lightly with quick steps behind them, Marie thought about the opponent waiting for her on the path ahead.

“There’s someone ahead! Two of them, armed!! And a mountain of corpses!!

“I’ve been waiting for this.” “I’m tired of waiting.”

The two knights who had broken their formation and reorganized, forming a semi-encircling formation, as well as the duo who turned their attention to Marie and the others who had come forward—their true identities were Chitose and Chiyoda, who had created mountains of corpses and rivers of blood, indiscriminately slaughtering members of the Assassin Guild, hidden villages, and even monsters and beastmen, regardless of age or gender.

Although neither of them had a single drop of blood on them, the blades of their Japanese swords and naginatas were covered in sticky grease, serving as evidence of the countless enemies they had slain.

“What!? You’re the Vice President of Parabellum!? How did you end up here? This place is supposed to be top-secret, how did you find out!?”

“Volmer, you don’t need to ask such questions. It’s obviously his doing, right? Use your head a little.”

As Marie said that, she signaled to her subordinates, who then dragged something along.

“Look, isn’t it him? The reason why you were able to find this place.”

“……Ugh…ah…”

What Marie’s subordinates brought was Haruto Kirishima, whose eyes were gouged out and whose legs were missing.

“……”

However, even in the face of Haruto’s transformed appearance, Chitose and Chiyoda didn’t bat an eyelid.

They just looked at Haruto with cold eyes.

“If he continues like this, he’ll be sentenced to death, so he wants to betray Parabellum and join the Empire. It’s a reasonable motive, but… isn’t it strange for a man who fears death and yearns for life to have this?”

Marie, gripping Haruto’s head in one hand, raised him up in the air and revealed a single pill—poison for self-destruction—from her pocket.

“Heheh, now… what should I do with this man? If you want him back—”

“Kill him.”

“…Did I mishear something? Did you just say ‘kill him’?”

“That’s right.”

Although they had no intention of returning him in the first place, Marie and the others were taken aback when they heard the request to kill Haruto.

“Even though he is a criminal, he was once a member of the Imperial Guard. He had the sense of selfless dedication. If he could be of service to his master until the very end, it would be his final wish, wouldn’t it?”

“……”

As if to prove Chitose’s words right, Haruto mustered his last bit of strength, distorting his mouth and flashing a gruesome smile.

“…I see. Then, he is no longer needed. I’ll gladly kill him as you wish.”

“Wha?!—Gah!!”

“I’m returning the trash.”

Marie, disappointed that things didn’t go as planned, forcibly made Haruto swallow the poison. As Haruto coughed up blood and breathed his last breath, Marie threw him towards Chitose.

“…You’ve done well, Haruto Kirishima, ‘Lieutenant’.”

Catching Haruto as he flew towards them, Chitose gently laid him on the ground, offering him words of solace before stepping back.

“…What a presumptuous act! Even though we haven’t extracted any information from him yet!!”

“You’re annoying… Even if we torture him, he won’t reveal anything. Besides, we’re going to kill him in the end, so it doesn’t matter.”

“You fools! This is not the time for internal disputes!! Show some restraint!!”

Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World Vol.5 Chap 6

The sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway as two people walked slowly towards their destination.

Leading the way was Chitose, whose skin and jet-black military uniform were stained with Kazuya’s blood, giving them a dark red color.

Following closely behind was Chiyoda, who had discarded the non-functional bio-terminal and switched to a spare one.

The two of them arrived at a terrace overlooking the front entrance of the command headquarters. It provided a panoramic view of the vast plaza in front of the headquarters, which was quite different from its usual appearance.

“……..”

Chitose and Chiyoda’s eyes reflected a multitude of people, countless soldiers dressed in combat uniforms, standing in orderly formation.

Moreover, these were not ordinary people. Each one of them was armed and exuded a terrifying aura of hostility.

With this overwhelming crowd of soldiers in their view, Chitose opened her heavy mouth to speak.

“To all the soldiers gathered here and to everyone listening to this communication, I have an announcement.

For me, and for all of you, our one and only irreplaceable master has been defiled by the despicable hands of our enemies. Furthermore, they are currently teetering on the brink of life and death, severely wounded.

…How about it? Can any of you forgive the vile masterminds who are the root cause of this tragedy? Can you forgive the existence that is lower than swine, nonchalantly breathing, moving their hearts, and enjoying their lives?

…Absolutely not!!

What is it that we must do now?

It is… revenge!

A vengeful spirit has no need for reason!

At this moment, you must be consumed by the seething hatred deep within you and become demons of revenge!

Burn down enemy villages, destroy towns, reduce the capital to ashes!

And offer up children, boys and girls, men and women, the elderly, livestock, soldiers, nobles, citizens, merchants, slaves—everything and everyone—as sacrifices to the bloodbath!

Use knives, bayonets, swords, grenades, anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, automatic pistols, revolvers, submachine guns, rifles, automatic rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, anti-material sniper rifles, light machine guns, general-purpose machine guns, heavy machine guns, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, anti-tank guided missiles, anti-tank grenade launchers, recoilless rifles, light mortars, heavy mortars, field guns, mountain guns, rapid-fire guns, machine cannons, anti-tank guns, smoothbore guns, high-angle guns, howitzers, naval guns, railway guns, vehicles, ships, aircraft—use every imaginable weapon and instrument of war to kill the enemy!

From this point on, our large-scale military operation shall be an act of revenge, a holy war!

Because it questions the honor and pride of our nation, as well as the purpose of our existence as servants of our master!

Therefore, mercy is unnecessary! Follow your instincts and hatred, unleash destruction to the fullest, trample the enemy!

March on, soldiers! Our elite forces!

Bring peace to our master, prosperity to Parabellum, and absolute death to our enemies!

Now is the time… for revenge!

We shall educate those beasts, those creatures worse than livestock, about what we are capable of!

All forces, advance! Eradicate the enemy!”

“UUOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

Immediately after Chitose’s speech, the voices exploded, tearing through the silence.

The furious roar of the soldiers, fueled by anger and resentment, shook the air and caused every window surrounding the plaza to rattle.

Thus, the Parabellum army, driven by anger and hatred, experienced an explosive surge in morale and launched

Amidst the entire military, including reserves, diligently preparing for the attack, the command room overseeing the operation was filled with an unusual tension.

“The Longgate Company, the intelligence agency operating within the imperial territory, has completed its evacuation. Two hours remaining.”

“Confirmation of the dispersal of leaflet bombs to all planned attack locations.”

“Cerberus and Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles are ready for launch. They can be fired at any time.”

“The rapid response force is prepared for deployment. Waiting for the command.”

Unable to protect her master in front of her and unable to even eliminate the culprits, Chitose, still covered in Kazuya’s blood, listened to the successive reports with a somber aura, remaining expressionless and maintaining silence throughout.

“Sister, take this.”

“It’s unnecessary.”

Concerned about Chitose, Chiyoda offered a towel, but her offer was firmly rejected.

Really… She’s so stubborn.

Understanding her sister’s feelings better than anyone else and harboring the same anger, Chiyoda refrained from interfering further.

“What about the current condition of the Master?”

“Not good… The situation is quite dangerous. Currently, the doctors are doing their best to stabilize him, but the effects of Iris’s runaway magic have had a significant impact, and we cannot let our guard down.”

“I see…”

Just like Karen and the others who were waiting outside the operating room, praying for the surgery to finish, Chitose also wished to be by Kazuya’s side. However, given her position as Vice President and the responsibilities entrusted to her regarding Kazuya’s wishes, she couldn’t fulfill that desire. This left Chitose feeling frustrated.

“What about Kreiss?”

Around the same time Kazuya fell into a coma, Chitose worried about her stepdaughter’s condition.

“We can’t be optimistic about that either. Although we don’t understand the cause or the reason for her deteriorating condition, the doctors are struggling with how to treat her.”

However, the news that came back from Chiyoda was equally troubling, indicating that Kreiss was also in a life-threatening condition.

“Understood… Damn it. For now, we can only pray for the safety of our Master and Kreiss and fulfill our duties.”

Suppressing the urge to rush to their side immediately, Chitose maintained a resolute attitude to carry out her entrusted responsibilities and desires.

“Excuse me, Vice President. The decontamination process of the bioweapons scattered by the enemy and the disposal of the bodies of those who transformed have been completed. Additionally, all strategic bombers deployed on the mainland have taken off, and the command has been handed over to Major General Curtis Lemay as planned.”

“I see. Good work, Ibuki.”

Ibuki, who had been coordinating frontline command and communication with various departments on behalf of Chitose in the command room, entered with a large stack of reports.

“Well, that’s all I can do… By the way, it’s quite surprising. The Vice President strictly prohibits the use of mass destruction weapons, including MA missiles. I always thought the Vice President would simply annihilate the enemy with concentrated use of nuclear weapons and the like.”

Before their eyes, the countdown on the display marked the remaining time until the start of the all-out attack. While sending her gaze to the display, Chitose’s side, standing alongside her, spoke with an ominous smile.

“Hmph, I have no intention of easily giving the Empire the solace of death through nuclear weapons. I want them to taste the hellish suffering, to be killed within despair and hopelessness!”

“I agree with the Vice President this time. After all, the Empire tried to eliminate Kazuya-sama… So, the Vice President,

“Countdown to impact: 10, 9, 8, 7―― What?! A powerful magical barrier detected over the Imperial Capital! None of the mass projectiles hit! I repeat, none of the mass projectiles hit!”

However, the four mass projectiles that were intended to obliterate the Imperial Capital were thwarted by a powerful magical barrier that enveloped the entire city.

“Tch, it seems it won’t be that easy after all… No, perhaps it’s for the better?――Change the attack targets to 2nd and 3rd, continue the assault!!”

“Understood! Changing the attack targets to 2nd and 3rd, continuing the assault!”

Realizing that it would be futile to persist with attacks against the Imperial Capital, which had successfully defended against the bombardment comparable to nuclear weapons from Keravnos, Chitose instructed to redirect the remaining valuable ammunition of Keravnos towards other targets. At the same time, she felt a dark joy and a boiling desire for revenge, as this presented her with an opportunity to personally eliminate the masterminds lurking within the Imperial Capital.

=====================================================================

About a week after the total assault began, the results achieved by Parabellum were astounding.

Under the pretext of retaliation, following the indiscriminate firing of Keravnos and intercontinental ballistic missiles, the first to take action were the Air Force――the aircraft deployed at various bases and the strategic bombing squadrons that took off from the mainland.

However, their approach this time was different from the large-scale bombings conducted during the Vermilion Operation.

In the previous operation, the targets were military facilities, and precision bombing of the targets was the norm. But this time, the targets were entire cities, including civilian-populated urban areas, and the primary method was indiscriminate bombing using unguided bombs dropped at low altitudes.

As a result, countless bombs were indiscriminately scattered from the aircraft flying over the cities, aiming roughly to maximize the damage.

Due to such bombing that prioritized power over precision, almost all cities within the empire were ruthlessly burned down.

Furthermore, this time, Parabellum also targeted infrastructure facilities such as bridges and major roads, which were not part of the initial operation objectives. As a result, the empire faced problems even with military movement and logistics.

However, to minimize civilian casualties relative to the scale of the aerial bombings, Chitose had preemptively informed each city through leaflet bombs that she would personally carry out the bombings in her own name, taking on the resentment of the imperial people that would arise. Therefore, the civilian casualties were relatively low. However, as a consequence, a new kind of hell emerged.

Yes, with minimal casualties, a vast number of refugees were created.

However, the empire had no capacity to save those refugees. They were abandoned and left as burdens by the country.

Those who lost their homes and belongings took up weapons to deprive others of their resources in order to survive.

And those who had resources took up weapons to protect themselves from being robbed.

Against this backdrop, security within the empire deteriorated rapidly, and in some places, allies started killing each other.

As Chitose secretly intended, the empire found itself in a situation where allies engaged in infighting, making it even more difficult to maintain the structure of a nation. However, this did not mean that everything was over.

Following the aerial bombings, the ground forces consisting of the prepared army and marines initiated their assault.

They easily surpassed the predetermined offensive limits and advanced deep into the heart of the empire.

Tanks, armored vehicles, and even trucks filled with soldiers overwhelmed the highways, ruthlessly subjugating villages and towns along the way. Resistance resulted in everything turning to ashes.

The Parabellum forces were advancing, weakened by the bombings and internal conflicts within the imperial army, and there was no way for the empire’s defense forces to stop them. The imperial forces suffered repeated defeats in various locations.

Carrying out a one-sided rampage, the Parabellum forces penetrated deep into the imperial territories with unstoppable momentum. Among them, there was a unit that stood out for its exceptional speed of advancement.

They were the foreign unit that had been assigned the defense duty of the Albion Principality, which had become a protectorate of Parabellum due to the course of events.

Motivated by Chitose’s urging to demonstrate their loyalty to Kazuya, despite their outdated equipment, they continued to advance, crushing enemy defense lines. In the end, they went the deepest into the empire’s territories, outperforming other units by a significant margin.

By the way, as a result of their achievements being recognized, the soldiers of the foreign unit were officially incorporated into the Parabellum forces, but that is a story for later.

Finally, after the Air Force, Army, and Marines, it was the Navy’s turn to

The attack squadron was immediately formed and began the destruction of the enemy base.

Although the First Mobile Fleet only had Type 62 Zero carrier-based fighters, Suisei carrier-based bombers, and Ryuusei carrier-based torpedo bombers, their handicap was compensated by the large number of attack squadrons and the exceptional skill of the pilots, leading to a successful destruction of the enemy base.

However, they committed a blunder by failing to sink dozens of warships that were anchored in the harbor, allowing them to escape. As a result, the First Mobile Fleet attempted to deploy a second attack squadron, but it was already nightfall.

Therefore, they ordered three light cruisers, “Kawachi,” “Shikinami,” and “Naka,” along with six destroyers from the 11th Destroyer Squadron (“Fubuki,” “Shirayuki,” “Hatsuyuki”) and the 12th Destroyer Squadron (“Murakumo,” “Shinonome,” “Shirakumo”), to pursue the escaping enemy.

As a result, they achieved the feat of sinking every enemy ship that fled from the harbor in a night battle.

“They haven’t been found yet?!”

While reports of such glorious achievements poured in from various locations on a daily basis, Chitose was becoming increasingly anxious.

This was because the deadline for the reinforcement of enemy forces through the trial of the gods, which they had failed to accomplish, was approaching, and they had yet to locate Marie and the others, the culprits who had injured Kazuya.

“Please rest for a while, my Lady. Your body cannot endure this much longer.”

“I don’t have the luxury to sleep calmly in this situation.”

A week had passed since the all-out attack began.

Due to the lack of proper rest, Chitose had dark circles under her eyes, and Chiyoda, concerned about her condition, began to contemplate the idea of mixing sleeping pills into a drink to make her sleep forcibly.

“Kirisima… Haruto.”

A voice, resembling a strained whisper, came from behind and reached the ears of the two.

“Is it Celsia?”

“Celsia… you say?”

When Chitose and Chiyoda turned around abruptly, they saw Celsia with disheveled and unkempt hair, her face showing a ghostly expression.

And beside her were the nun-like figures of the Longinus Sisters, bearing a striking resemblance to Celsia.

“Haruto Kirishima may be among the escaped prisoners from the prison island… ugh… perhaps he is with the Maidens…”

“Celsia-sama!!”

“Please be cautious!”

After the battle with the Seven Saintesses that erupted on the prison island, Celsia had been taken into custody and thrown into a hospital room due to her hysterical outburst upon hearing that Kazuya was in a comatose state and in critical condition.

However, three days after her breakdown, she regained her sanity and since then, she had been tirelessly converting her life force into magical energy, continuously casting healing magic on Kazuya, displaying an exhaustion level on par with Chitose.

“Where is Haruto Kirishima right now?!”

Placing her hope on the slender possibility brought by Celsia, Chitose shouted.

“We’ve caught the signal!! We found it!! The location is in the Zain Mountains within the Empire’s territory!”

“Satellite thermal detection initiated! Multiple heat sources confirmed around Haruto Kirishima! They are presumed to be enemy units attacking the mainland!”

“We finally found him. Chiyoda, let’s go.”

“Understood.”

Finally, Chitose, who had been waiting anxiously, twisted her mouth into a crescent moon shape and smirked

The speech that Chitose gave this time was originally intended to be an arrangement of that famous major’s speech, but…

It ended up becoming a collection of gags where Chitose pours out her feelings for Kazuya, so I decided to stop.

Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World Vol.5 CH.5

This one was a bit of a long chapter but hey since it’s a holiday weekend I figured I would give you guys an extra Chapter so y’all can get your fix lol.

“A bit… Character collapse (;´д`)”

======================================================================

“After the day that would become the trigger for the fate of millions of people, Kazuya had some free time as the restoration work of Parabellum was mostly complete. He visited the Governor’s Office located in the capital of the former Canary Kingdom, Barlans, where he fulfilled the first promise made with Karen.

After fulfilling the promise of personally going to pick her up, Kazuya returned to Parabellum with Karen and they had lunch together in his private room at the headquarters.

“Nevertheless, they recovered quickly despite suffering such extensive damage. One could truly say it’s a transient country,” Karen murmured, in a cheerful mood as they looked at the recovering streets of Parabellum.

“Oh? Is that so? Well, the reconstruction plan is slightly behind schedule… but compared to the standards of this world, it’s undoubtedly much faster,” Kazuya replied.

“…It’s truly unfathomable how slow it is in your country,” Karen remarked.

“Well, yeah,” Kazuya said, his face filled with pride.

“By the way, Kazuya? About the outing we promised the other day—”

“Excuse me, my lord. I apologize for interrupting your meal, but there’s an emergency,” a voice interrupted.

As Kazuya was about to bring up the second promise—the outing—they had made, Karen had mustered the courage to initiate the conversation. However, they were interrupted by fully armed guards, maids, and Chitose, who was accompanied by Chiyoda.

…”

Due to the untimely appearance of these intruders, Karen was unable to fulfill her anticipated excitement, and she stood silently, seething with anger. Kazuya, who had keenly noticed Karen’s state, decided to prioritize Chitose’s serious expression and listen to her.

“An emergency? What happened?”

“In our homeland, enemy forces have invaded and initiated destructive activities in various locations. Additionally, abnormal readings from biological agent alarms have been detected in several harbor areas, indicating a potential use of biological weapons.”

“What…!? An enemy attack!? How did they infiltrate? No, more importantly, biological weapons!?”

The situation turned out to be much more serious than Kazuya had anticipated, and he became frantic with anxiety.

“I am deeply sorry for this disgrace. Although the entry point is still unknown, it is believed that they took advantage of the gaps in our surveillance network caused by the battle with Jiz and infiltrated. Due to similar reasons, it took us some time to realize the enemy’s intrusion… It is entirely my responsibility, and I am prepared to accept any punishment, Master.”

Chiyoda, who oversees and is responsible for Parabellum’s surveillance and defense systems, bowed her head to Kazuya.

“You don’t have to apologize right now. What are the measures being taken against the invading enemy forces and the biological weapons?”

“We have already issued a Level 1 combat readiness order and deployed immediate response forces and CBIRF (Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, commonly known as Seaburn) to various locations. They are engaged in combat with enemy forces, directing the evacuation of non-combatants, and conducting decontamination activities in contaminated areas.”

“What is the current extent of the damage and the scale of the invading enemy?”

“The casualties from the battle with the enemy thus far amount to 169, and we have not confirmed the status of approximately 800 soldiers, civilians, and residents who were in the areas where the biological weapons were dispersed. As for the scale of the enemy forces, we estimate it to be roughly the size of a battalion. It appears they employed a small but elite force to achieve a successful surprise attack. However, thanks to that, we should be able to eliminate them relatively quickly. Nevertheless, for the sake of caution, I would like to ask you, Master, to move to the underground command center here.”

To ensure Kazuya’s safety, which should take precedence above all else, Chitose suggested moving to the underground command center designed to withstand even a nuclear attack.

“Understood. But before that, make sure Asuka and Kreis at home are in a safe place—”

“No need to worry. We have already sent guards for them. By now, they should all be in the underground shelter in your residence. We have also sent troops to evacuate all VIPs up to class A-C to nearby shelters without exception.”

“I see… Then let’s hurry to the underground command center. Karen, let’s go.”

“Yes, understood.”

Upon learning that the safety of their children and wives had been secured, Kazuya took Karen’s hand, following Chitose’s urging, and left the private room.

“From now on, Master will be heading to the underground command center. Everyone, maintain vigilance and ensure the safety of the transportation routes.”

“Third-floor east corridor, understood.”

“Central staircase, understood.”

“Entrance hall, understood.”

“Second communication corridor, understood.”

“Front corridor of the underground command center, understood.”

As they left the private room and made their way to the underground shelter, Chitose sent radio messages to various personnel, ensuring the safe escort of Kazuya, the most important person. However, while Kazuya and the others were moving down the hallway with heightened vigilance, Chiyoda suddenly stopped.

“Hold on, Master.”

“What’s wrong, Chiyoda?”

“Thirty enemy infantry have infiltrated the headquarters’ premises… This is… their movement speed is unusually fast. Could it be that the infiltrators are not human? Calculating the enemy’s projected route… No, if it continues like this, all transportation routes leading to the underground shelter will be cut off within three minutes… No! Master, please return to the private room!”

“Taking into account the footage data obtained from the linked surveillance cameras and other information, Chiyoda deduced the projected route of the enemy and immediately raised a warning. At the same time, gunshots and screams echoed throughout various locations in the command headquarters.

“…Damn it… Understood.”

Realizing that evacuation to the underground shelter was no longer possible, Kazuya and the others turned on their heels and returned to the previous room.

“Master, please go inside the room first!! – Captain, I’ll leave half of them here. Secure the area in front of the room, and don’t let anyone in.”

“Understood.”

Just before Kazuya entered his private room, Chitose left half of the escort squad, 10 members, in the hallway and prepared for an enemy attack.

“Chiyoda, request reinforcements.”

“I have already requested them, Your Highness. A squad each of GIGN, Spetsnaz (formerly GRU), will arrive within 10 minutes, and a squad each of SAS, NAVY SEALs, and Green Berets will arrive in 15 minutes.”

“I see… Then it will be a decisive battle until reinforcements arrive.”

Returning to their original room, Kazuya and the others fortified their defense inside the room and patiently waited for the reinforcements to arrive.

“Hey, all of you. Flip that desk and create a barricade. And also, use that bookshelf and sofa over there.”

“Ar-Are you sure, Your Excellency?”

“It’s an emergency. Don’t hesitate, just do it… um, like this.”

Seeing the hesitation of the squad members, Kazuya chuckled wryly, handed them a pass, and gave them instructions to construct a makeshift barricade using the furniture in the room. Then he pressed a switch hidden in the wall.

Immediately, the entire wall next to the switch began to move with a rumbling sound, revealing a large number of firearms. Subsequently, a part of the ceiling moved, and a full set of equipment, including bulletproof vests, descended.

“……”

Everyone except Kazuya was dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of a large number of firearms and equipment from the walls and ceiling, as if in an action movie.

“Karen, please hold on to this, just in case.”

“Uh, um… alright.”

Among the neatly lined-up firearms, Kazuya picked up a compact model Glock 30 and handed it to the bewildered Karen.

“…Master? When did you have something like this?”

“Hm? It was there from the beginning… Didn’t I mention it?”

“I didn’t hear about it.”

“Oh? Was that so? Well, never mind. It’s like an extension of my hobby, so don’t worry about it.”

“…Okay, I understand.”

With a smile, Kazuya responded to Chitose’s inquisitive and troubled expression. However, as the conversation continued, Chitose suddenly spoke up with a tense voice.

“I’m sorry to interrupt, Master, but the enemy is approaching. The soldiers in the corridor will engage in combat in 90 seconds!”

Just as the small secret of Kazuya had been exposed and a strangely calm atmosphere seemed to settle, the tension returned as Chitose’s words rang out.

“Everyone, take your positions.”

Following Chitose’s command, the maids Reina, Laina, El, and the 10 members of the escort squad took positions behind the barricade built with furniture in the center of the room. Behind Reina and the others, Chitose and Chiyoda flanked Kazuya, ready with their weapons.

By the way, Karen had already been evacuated and was taking refuge in a corner of the room under the protection of the maids Luminous and Wilhelm.

“The battle begins. The enemy is approaching from two directions, left and right. They are taking cover in the shadows of the corner and trying to find an opening in our barrage. They’re… charging in!! They’re closing in on our soldiers! Damn it, the stray bullets hit the surveillance camera, and we can’t see what’s happening outside.”

Chiyoda, who could observe the situation outside through the surveillance cameras installed in the corridor, was providing a live report of the battle. However, as the surveillance camera was destroyed by a stray bullet, they could no longer see what was happening outside, and they could only imagine the situation based on the ominous voices and sounds coming from the corridor.

“…Has it gone quiet?”

After the desperate screams, silence fell, and the corridor became eerily quiet.

“You and you, check outside.”

Amidst the unsettling silence and tension, Chitose ordered two members of the escort squad to check the situation in the corridor.

“Understood.”

Upon receiving the order, the two members of the escort squad cautiously approached the doorknob, moving away from the barricade made of furniture.

Just as they were about to touch the doorknob, a loud bang echoed through the room, and the walls on both sides of the room exploded, leaving large holes. In walked six enemies clad in hooded black coats, brandishing their weapons, intending to take Kazuya’s life.

“Your Highness!!”

“Master!!”

Caught off guard, the escort squad and the maids were unable to respond to the surprise attack, realizing that there were only two guards by Kazuya’s side.

“You… scum.”

With synchronized words of disdain, the two swung their blades.

Chitose’s katana and Chiyoda’s naginata swiftly cleaved through the six enemies’ necks simultaneously, resulting in the room being stained with fresh blood.

“Phew, we managed somehow.”

Relieved that he didn’t have to use the M1911 Colt Government or the Five-seveN he had drawn from his holster, thanks to the efforts of Chitose and Chiyoda, Kazuya let out a sigh of relief.

However, in reality, nothing had ended yet.

No, it was just the beginning.

“We can’t let our guard down yet, Master. These might not be the last enemies, and above all, the enemies have been targeting you from the beginning… Master!”

As Chitose was cautiously extracting the hearts of the slain enemies with her katana, she turned her face towards Kazuya and froze, her face turning pale.

“Master!! Behind you!”

“Kazuya! Behind you!”

“Huh? Wha-!?”

With Chiyoda and Karen’s words, Kazuya finally noticed the presence behind him.

When did they…!? I didn’t sense anything!

“Hahaha, you mustn’t let your guard down until the very end, boy.”

The person wearing the same coat as the enemies Chitose and Chiyoda had just annihilated had a hand around Kazuya’s neck and was smirking confidently.

“Take your filthy hands off Master!”

“Get away from Master!”

“Don’t move!”

“Wha-!?”

“Exactly, good girls. Don’t move a muscle. If any of you make even a slight move, your precious man’s head will be flying off, just like my subordinates… understand?”

Regretting their carelessness in moving away from Kazuya, Chitose and Chiyoda attempted to attack the enemy holding Kazuya, but they were immobilized by the enemy’s words.

Furthermore, the maids and the escort squad, who were even further away from Kazuya, were unable to make any move.

“Ughh!”

Now held hostage with no room to move, Chitose and Chiyoda could do nothing but bear their weapons and accept the enemy’s demands, their fangs bared in a fierce, demonic expression.

“Hehehe, such lovely expressions you have there.”

Having obtained Kazuya, the ultimate trump card, the enemy, with only their mouth visible under the hood, twisted their face into a sly and amused grin.

“…Who are you, you bastard?”

“Hmm? Is a young boy like you interested in me?”

“…I’m not that young of a boy.”

When Kazuya, who was taken hostage, tried to provoke the enemy and buy more time by asking a question, Amira burst into the room, gripping the head of the lifeless enemy with rough footsteps.

Following her, Fiine, Leine, and Iris entered the room.

Furthermore, reinforcements in the form of GIGN and Spetsnaz soldiers whom Kazuya had called arrived.

“…”

Why is everyone showing up?

Kazuya had known that they were at the command headquarters because they had planned to meet for lunch with Karen. However, he inwardly sighed at the fact that they hadn’t evacuated and instead gathered in a dangerous situation.

“Oh my, I was planning to finish before the reinforcements arrived… But it seems my plans have gone awry.”

“Huh? Who are you? Release Kazuya… Wait, that voice… Could it be… You?!”

Amira, releasing her grip on the crushed head, prepared her fists again as she recognized the familiar voice.

“Oh dear, it seems I’ve been found out. In that case, this coat is useless and in the way. I’ll take it off.”

In response to the menacing gazes filled with killing intent from Chitose and Chiyoda, the person, now revealed after discarding the coat, was a young girl dressed in an audacious outfit that combined black and red, resembling a fusion of armor and bondage, making one doubt its defensive capabilities.

With deep crimson eyes that seemed to see through everything and vibrant pink long hair, despite her youthful appearance, she emitted an incredible sense of intimidation, an otherworldly presence.

“Now then, it’s been a while, hasn’t it, Amira?”

“Yeah, it’s been quite a while… Well, I never wanted to see your face again, but here we are.”

“Oh, what a shame. You’re so cold.”

“…Amira, who is this person?”

Interrupting their conversation, Kazuya, still held hostage, wore a face of frustration and asked Amira, who had the look of someone who had bitten into a bitter bug.

“This person’s name is Marie Maiden. A true monster who has lived for an unimaginable amount of time. We had a battle a while ago, and she disappeared from the surface world after that. I never expected to meet again in a place like this…”

“Marie Maiden?… Data search… Data found. Classified as a demon. Species: Soul Eater, a higher-tier vampire known as a Soul Eater, True Ancestor Vampire, Dismantling Princess, Pleasure Seeker of Fresh Blood, among many other titles. Currently affiliated with the Assassins Guild, leading a recently emerging assassination group called Bloody Fang. Caution: … She is immortal.”

Chiyoda, who conducted a search based on the name spoken by Amira using the vast information collected by Parabellum, revealed detailed information about the enemy.

“Oh my, you know so much about me, even my current situation. It’s embarrassing in a way.”

Slightly surprised by the information provided by Chiyoda, Marie chuckled and lightly pressed her reddened cheek with her free left hand.

Her appearance was like that of an innocent girl, making her first love’s heart dance with joy. However, due to her ability to crush Kazuya’s neck at any moment, it only gave a sense of unease to those who witnessed it.

“An assassin… So what is your purpose? If you didn’t kill me immediately, there must be some objective, right?”

“Well, yes, there is. But before achieving my goal… everyone, please discard your weapons. I don’t want any interference on the way to accomplishing my objective.”

“Ugh!?”

Marie tightened her grip around Kazuya’s neck, exerting more force, and deliberately let a drop of blood flow by digging her sharp claws into Kazuya’s throat. Then she demanded that Chitose and the others disarm.

“Damn it! Don’t underestimate me or us. You bastard!! Who do you think will follow your every whim?!! Starting now, all authority possessed by Nagato Kazuya will be transferred to Chitose! Chitose will assume full command of Parabellum and prioritize the elimination of enemies!”

However, Kazuya had no intention of letting that pass.

Despite having his neck strangled with the strength of a vise, he desperately spoke his words, entrusting everything to Chitose and the others.

“…What do you intend to do with that?”

“Guuh!? Kuh… Th-the words I spoke… They are true. With this, I have no value as a hostage!! If you’re going to kill me, then do it already!! I’ve prepared myself to be killed when I first took someone’s life!! Take that!! You idiot!! Cough!?”

“…Hehe. How brave of you. But you should understand a bit more about your own popularity and value. Look.”

She slightly turned her face and stared at Marie behind her, and advised Kazuya, who had defiantly declared that he would rather die than become a pawn of the enemy.

“Cough, w-what… Why…?”

Although there was a predetermined manual on how to handle such a situation in the event of the current circumstances, Kazuya did not follow it.

“I apologize, Master… Please, please forgive me for defying your orders…”

“I won’t follow the manual, Master.”

Chitose and the others did not adhere to the predetermined manual either—they did not inherit the full command from Kazuya and prioritize his rescue when he was taken hostage. Instead, they abandoned their weapons as demanded by Marie.

“You are quite loved, aren’t you, Kazuya? It makes me jealous.”

“…Chitose…”

Ignoring even the orders that he had always followed with absolute obedience, Chitose prioritized Kazuya’s life over her own, exposing herself to danger by discarding her weapon.

Kazuya looked at her with a complex gaze that seemed to express both happiness and sadness.

“Now, what should we do next?”

Hmm, I’m at a loss. My objective, or rather the instructions from the client, are to make Nagato Kazuya taste the ultimate humiliation and then kill him while he suffers.

If I kill him here… I might be in a lot of danger myself.

Although Marie had gained a significantly advantageous position by having her demands met, she was also aware of the abilities of Chitose and the others. She had a feeling that if she made a wrong move, she might end up in the worst situation herself. This uncertainty made her contemplate whether she should kill Kazuya right here and now.

What should I do? Taking him out of this place seems difficult… Oh, but this man, he smells so delicious… Oh, wait?

“Aha, ahahahaha!! Ehehehehehehehe!! Ahuhuhuhuhu!! Ahyahyahyahya!!”

As Marie pondered how to fulfill the client’s intentions, she suddenly realized something and burst into maniacal laughter.

“…Has she gone mad?”

“I always thought she was creepy… but to be this strange…”

Everyone present was taken aback by Marie’s bizarre behavior, and Kazuya and Amira spat out venomous words.

“――Finally, I found it. Hahaha, finally… finally. Hehe, how long I have been waiting for this moment――”

However, Marie, who had stopped laughing, muttered to herself as if she didn’t care about the people around her, immersed in her own joy.

“――My beloved.”

“What?――Guu!?”

Before Kazuya could understand the meaning of the whispered words by Marie in his ear, her sharp fangs deeply pierced his neck.

“Master!!”

“Ma… Master!!”

“Aggh, guh, ooh!?”

While Kazuya convulsed like a fish washed ashore, feeling the gruesome sensation of being drained of his very being, unlike the gentle sensation he experienced during the occasional vampire feeding by the vampire sisters, Reina and Raina, the maid squad could only watch as he was being sucked of his blood.

“Kazuya!!”

“Brother!!”

“I’ll kill you!! I’ll kill you, you bastard!!”

“Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill!!”

On the other hand, Amira and Karen, who couldn’t afford to intervene for fear of putting Kazuya’s life in even greater danger, could only cry out in anguish and pray for his safety.

Meanwhile, Chitose and Chiyoda, who could be said to exist for Kazuya’s sake, were on the verge of madness. In order to maintain their sanity, they gritted their teeth and raised their voices in resentment, staring at Kazuya’s contaminated form with bloodshot eyes, their fists creaking with anger and hatred.

“Gurgle… Ah… It’s sweet. Very, very sweet. Hehe, you truly are my beloved, after all.”

Marie, who had been gulping Kazuya’s blood, detached her mouth from his neck and licked the last drop on her lips with her crimson tongue, melting her expression with pleasure as she spoke.

“Ah, ah, agh, ahh…”

“Kazuya!! Are you alright!?”

“Pull yourself together!! Kazuya!!”

Having suddenly lost a large amount of blood, Kazuya, who was in a dazed state, couldn’t respond to Amira and Karen’s calls, only weakly groaning.

“You, how dare you do something like this to Kazuya!! I won’t forgive you!!”

“You’re a noisy little girl… Let me give you a taste of the lingering pleasure of drinking the blood of my beloved.”

In the face of Kazuya’s condition, Fiine, who revealed her anger, and Marie, who said something unbelievable, exchanged words.

“What?――Gaaahhh!!”

Suddenly, Kazuya let out an unheard-of scream.

“Kazuya!? Marie!! What are you doing!?”

“Be quiet!! I’m concentrating right now. If you interfere, Kazuya will die!!”

Amira, surprised by Kazuya’s scream, asked Marie, who was likely the root of all evil, but Marie, who was concentrating seriously on something, did not respond.

A little more… just a little more…

From the perspective of Amira and the others, Kazuya became a barrier, and they couldn’t see what Marie was doing. But if there was someone watching the scene from the side, they would clearly see Marie’s left arm deeply inserted into Kazuya’s “body,” invading it.

“Gaah, ggh, gih…”

“Got you…”

Marie, who had obtained her target while Kazuya had turned into a pale-faced, foaming-from-the-mouth figure resembling a dead person, laughed excitedly with a gleeful expression.

“This… This is exactly what I’ve been seeking!!”

In Marie’s hand was grasped Kazuya’s soul, pale and shining.

“Marvelous… It’s absolutely marvelous, Kazuya!!”

“……..”

No one could speak, as they were engulfed by the abnormal aura emanating from Marie, who was playing with the extracted soul of Kazuya like a grim reaper.

However, in this situation, there were two fierce individuals who would not hesitate to shoot even at gods if the conditions were met.

“Restore the master’s soul… I will disassemble you.”

“We will give you a hellish suffering before killing you.”

Uttering these words in a state of anger that seemed to push them to the brink of madness, the two individuals spoke.

“Hehe. The howling of defeated dogs doesn’t scare me in the least.”

The words of Chitose and Chiyoda were filled with a menacing aura that would cause anyone with a weak heart to experience cardiac arrest and collapse. However, Marie showed no signs of being affected.

“You two just stay quiet over there and watch as Kazuya becomes mine.”

Instead, Marie further provoked Chitose and Chiyoda.

“Now then, ahn~♪”

“—!?!”

Everyone was taken aback as Marie raised her face and opened her mouth wide, but instead of swallowing Kazuya’s soul immediately, she licked it like a candy with her tongue.

“Hehehe… It’s delicious… So delicious… I feel like devouring it just like this, but that would be boring.”

After thoroughly licking Kazuya’s soul, Marie spoke with the soul in her mouth.

“H-Hey, wait a minute!! Those markings, are they slave magic seals!?”

“You have sharp eyes, Amira. That’s right. I engraved them into Kazuya’s soul along with my saliva in my mouth. With this, Kazuya is mine.”

“What are you doing!? If you do something like that to a human soul, there’s a possibility that it won’t withstand the effects of magic and his mind will collapse!”

“Hahaha, don’t worry. After all, Kazuya possesses a soul that is to my liking. He will definitely endure. Besides, even if Kazuya’s mind were to break, I don’t mind. Because I always get what I want. Yes, no matter how it may be broken. Now, Kazuya. Kill the pests before you as proof that you belong to me. In return, I will grant you the honor of shattering the purity I have protected for 900 years!”

As Marie returned Kazuya’s soul to his body after toying with it in her mouth, she unabashedly declared her virginity and commanded Kazuya.

Then, in response to Marie’s words, Kazuya, who was freed from Marie’s right hand that had been holding his neck, moved in a jerky, puppet-like manner.

“…”

“Master?”

“Master?”

Finally released from Marie’s grip on his neck, Kazuya looked at Chitose and the others with empty eyes. Without saying a word, he slowly pointed the barrels of the M1911 Colt Government and the Five-seveN handguns in his hands directly at Chitose and the others.

“…What’s wrong, Kazuya? Kill the pests quickly,” Marie urged.

However, Kazuya didn’t pull the trigger no matter how much time passed.

Marie, suspecting that the magic wasn’t working, began to approach Kazuya when it happened.

Bang! A single gunshot rang out, and blood splattered.

“What!?!”

“Guuuu!! Chitose!! Chiyoda!!”

Shooting through his own right shoulder in defiance of the slave magic’s binding, Kazuya regained his consciousness and shouted his loyal subjects’ names with overwhelming emotion.

“Yes, my Lord!”

“We apologize, Master! It’s our fault for being inadequate!”

Chitose and Chiyoda, who had torn Marie’s body into four pieces rather than eight, ran towards Kazuya.

“Haa… haa… Don’t let your guard down… You two… They’re still coming,” gasped Kazuya, his face pale like that of a seriously ill person. As he spoke, both of them turned around and witnessed Marie’s fragmented body beginning to regenerate.

“Fuhhihihi… How delightful… Absolutely splendid… Kazuya, you have surpassed my ideals. Not only have you become my servant, but you resist even the enslavement magic—especially the enslavement magic directly engraved on your soul… Your strength, your nobility, everything about you is perfect. Eeheeheehee, I desire it all… Your soul, of course, from the tips of your toes to the ends of your hair… Ah, Kazuya, Kazuya, my beloved one… my long-awaited fated partner,” Marie exclaimed, her face filled with ecstatic and delusional delight.

“Haa… haa… Shut up… Who would ever become your possession?!” Kazuya retorted, panting.

“Hm!? Eheh, ehehehe… It’s even better to hear such words from you in your current state. Uhihihi… Yes, yes, I’ll thoroughly train you in this private setting,” Marie responded, her words filled with a twisted amusement.

Enraged by Marie’s delirious ramblings and expressions of pleasure, Chitose and Chiyoda couldn’t take it anymore.

“Let’s tear her apart!!”

“To our master!!”

“We won’t let you lay a finger on him!!”

“Stay out of our way! My Kazuya, Kazuya, Kazuyaaaa!!”

Ignoring Kazuya and leaving him to the maid corps, Chitose and Chiyoda once again attacked Marie with their weapons.

“To our master!!”

“To our master!!”

“We won’t let you touch him any further!!”

“Get out of my way! My Kazuya, Kazuya, Kazuyaaaa!!”

Marie, with her dreamlike steps resembling a sleepwalker, attempted to approach Kazuya without defending herself or retaliating. But in an instant, Chitose’s blade severed the left side of Marie’s face, while Chiyoda’s halberd cleaved her body in half, leaving her in a horrifying state.

However, even in such a grotesque form, Marie’s body began to regenerate within seconds, returning to its original state, and she once again tried to approach Kazuya.

But every time she did, the gleaming weapons of the two girls would swiftly slice through Marie’s flesh and bones, scattering blood and gore in an instant.

“There’s no end to this!”

“You annoying immortal!”

The relentless assault by Chitose and Chiyoda continued, causing Marie to assume unsightly forms that would normally be considered inappropriate for viewing. However, within a few seconds, she would revert to her innocent and delicate appearance, rendering the attacks of Chitose and her companions futile.

“This has gone on long enough!”

Fed up with Marie’s inability to die, Chitose, driven by frustration, decapitated Marie and kicked her body away.

“Phew… Oh my, my clothes are all torn,” Marie remarked, as she regenerated her body once again. However, there was a clear change in her expression compared to before.

“There are too many nuisances here… And I’ve made preparations as well… For now, I’ll retreat,” Marie declared.

“Do you think we’ll let you escape?”

“Do you think you can run away?”

In response to Marie’s words, Chitose and Chiyoda confronted her.

“I don’t need your permission to retreat,” Marie retorted.

“Don’t spout nonsense!”

With those words as a signal, both sides leaped towards each other like bullets.

“Hmph!!”

“Sei!!”

Chitose and Chiyoda swung their weapons at Marie, who was unarmed. However, their strikes cut through nothing but air.

“Where…?!”

“For now, farewell, Kazuya. Mwah, I’ll steal your lips in a more romantic setting,” Marie said.

“What…?”

Just as Chitose and Chiyoda had lost sight of Marie, bewildered and scanning the surroundings, they found her behind them.

But to their surprise, Marie was being supported by the maid corps and was kissing Kazuya’s cheek as they tended to him.

“What the hell?!”

“When did she…?”

Reina and Rainer, who were supporting Kazuya, couldn’t even sense Marie’s presence until she kissed Kazuya, and they exclaimed in surprise.

“Dieeee!”

“Well then, see you later, Kazuya.”

Dodging El’s kick, which could easily snap steel beams, Marie smiled at Kazuya one last time, turned on her heel, and rushed towards the door.

“They’re coming! We have to take her down, no matter what!”

“Understood!”

“We won’t let her escape!”

However, in front of the door stood a large number of special forces members and Amira, ready and waiting.

“Too bad, the door isn’t the target.”

However, Marie heading towards the door was just a feint to divert Amira and the others’ attention.

Suddenly, Marie changed course right in front of Amira, heading towards Iris, who was relatively cornered in the room.

“Huh?”

“I-Iris!!”

Seeing Marie approaching Iris, Kazuya caught sight of her and shouted Iris’s name, prompted by the alarm bells ringing in his head.

But it was too late.

“I’ll sacrifice a couple of soldiers just to escape, alright, miss?”

In an instant, Marie, with an unexpected superhuman strength, twisted off the heads of two soldiers who had shielded Iris, and with an eerie smile, extended her index finger towards Iris.

And the moment Marie’s index finger touched Iris’s trembling forehead, Kazuya’s private room was engulfed in a sinister deep purple flash.

=======================================================================

“Groaning and groaning, Kazuya regained consciousness, stimulated by the heavy sound as if dragging something and the sharp pain stabbing his back.

“…Huh? What… what happened? What the hell!?”

“Did you wake up, Master?”

The first thing that came into Kazuya’s sight when he regained consciousness was the horrific state of his devastated private room, with walls and ceilings blown away without a trace and debris scattered everywhere, as if it had been bombed.

Then, guided by Chiyoda’s voice, which felt somewhat unsettling, Kazuya turned around and saw Chiyoda, covered in wounds and with only his two remaining arms, dragging Kazuya’s body. His body was in a horrific state.

Blood and white oil leaked from the severed sections of the legs, which were made of flesh and machinery, wetting the ground. Additionally, the skin on the abdomen, which had suffered burns, had completely burned off, exposing the hidden metal parts and adding to the gruesome sight.

“Are you… alright, Chiyoda?”

“The ‘core’ is unharmed, so there’s no issue. However, the biological terminal has lost about 70% of its functions. It would be appropriate to dispose of it rather than repair it.”

“I see… But what the hell happened? What about the enemies… What happened to them? No, more importantly, is everyone safe?”

“…First, all enemy reactions that invaded the mainland were lost. We don’t know the means, but the enemy retreated in an instant. As for the casualties among those who were in Master’s private room, only two soldiers were killed by Marie Maiden. Myself and Master are severely injured. Lady Ayaka, Karen, Amira, Fiine, Reine, the maid group consisting of Reina, Rainer, El, Luminous, Wilhelm, and other soldiers are all unconscious but have only minor injuries and are not in critical condition. Iris is also ‘currently’ alive. And… regarding your first question… Iris’s magical power went out of control due to Maiden. This devastation is the result of that.”

Kazuya frowned at Chiyoda’s cryptic wording, but he quickly understood what Chiyoda was trying to say.

“Wh-Where is Iris!?”

“In front of Master, beyond the rubble.”

“Damn it! It hurts! Shit…”

Enduring the intense pain that surged through his body when he stood up, especially the pain in his right shoulder where he shot himself, Kazuya stumbled forward.

“This… damn it…”

“Master, please don’t get any closer to Iris. It’s a matter of life and death.”

Leaning against the debris in front of him, Kazuya peered ahead and fell silent, cursing under his breath.

“… “

In Kazuya’s line of sight, there stood Iris, enveloped in a eerie thin purple membrane, gazing at the sky quietly.

“Chiyoda, what’s Iris’ condition?”

“It seems she has been subjected to mind-control magic by Maiden. Moreover, she is on the verge of entering the final stage of magical rampage, so it’s no longer possible to save her. The best course of action now would be to refrain from intervening and wait for Iris to self-destruct.”

“Do you think I can just stand by and let that happen? I will save Iris at all costs!”

“Master! It’s not possible! The emotions at the core of Iris’ magical rampage are hatred and rejection! And that thin film is a kind of curse that materializes Iris’ emotions. It’s a horrifying thing that corrodes everything it touches without exception!”

“Then am I supposed to just watch Iris die like this—”

“Big brother…?”

A chilling voice entwines around Kazuya, sending shivers down his spine.

“…Iris.”

“Big brother… You’re different from others, right? You… will accept me, won’t you?”

Due to the memory and mental manipulation she underwent from Marie, Iris had been repeatedly experiencing the psychological pain she had endured before, causing her to lose control over her emotions and magical power and triggering a magical rampage.

But when she saw Kazuya, who was hidden in the shadow of the rubble with his extinguished gaze, Iris clung to him as her last emotional anchor.

“Master! It’s dangerous! Step back!”

“What?! Iris!”

Chiyoda forcefully grabs Kazuya’s waist and pulls him back, obstructing Iris’ path.

However, that action, born out of Chiyoda’s concern for Kazuya’s safety, leads to the worst possible outcome.

“Ugh… Big brother, are you also rejecting me? Are you… abandoning me? Ahaha, ahahihihihihyahiya!!”

Seeing it as if he rejected her and retreated, Iris, already on the brink of losing her balance between her heart and mind due to the pain inflicted by Marie, loses her last support and breaks down.

“Iris!! Wait! That’s not it!”

“Enough… It’s fine. After all, I’m alone…”

And with those fragile words, Iris completely hides herself within the film-like substance.

“Damn it! What should I do?!”

“Master! It’s too late! Although she’s currently in a stable condition, if we stay here, we’ll be caught up in Iris’ final magical rampage when her self-destruction begins! We need to evacuate immediately!”

“Shut up! There must be something else I can do—”

As Kazuya becomes emotionally overwhelmed, he is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of “something” right before his eyes.

“…”

“Master?”

Kazuya falls silent, and Chiyoda anxiously calls out to him, but Kazuya has lost the composure to respond.

“You bastard… You think I’ll lose again?! Hahaha, laughable.”

The meaning of the window that suddenly appeared before him sparks anger within Kazuya.

However, that anger ignites a fierce fire in Kazuya’s rebellious heart.

“…That again? Haha, it’s laughable.”

“Do you want me to watch as the person I’ve exchanged my body and soul with gradually grows cold and dies, while I bite my finger again?”

“Do you curse your own powerlessness and let the woman you love die?”

Hahaha, ahahaha, the answer is… go to hell!!

“…Even I have pride, you know! If my body corrodes and the enemy’s forces strengthen, so what!! I’ll fight against anything rather than taste that damn despair again! I won’t let you take away anyone important to me anymore! I won’t lose them!”

“Master!! Please stop!”

“Iris!! You’re included in that too!! Get out of there!”

With determination, Kazuya approaches Iris, ignoring Chiyoda’s attempts to stop him. He gathers as much magic power as possible in his left hand and defies Chiyoda’s warning, thrusting his left hand into the membrane enveloping Iris.

At that moment, his left hand begins to decay, making a disgusting squelching sound. His fingertips disappear, followed by the rotting of the flesh as if it were being burnt. Blood gushes out, but even the blood evaporates, releasing an unpleasant odor. Finally, the pure white bones are exposed, gradually being shortened as if being whittled away by a pencil sharpener.

“Ugigigigigigi!!”

Enduring the excruciating pain of his body decaying at a tremendous speed, Kazuya forcefully pushes his decaying left hand into the membrane with all his strength.

“I’ve got… you!!”

In less than ten seconds, his hand decays up to his wrist, and the hand no longer retains its original form. Kazuya, unable to catch Iris with his decayed left hand, unconsciously creates a pseudo hand using the magic power surrounding his hand. He manages to catch Iris and begins to pull her out of the membrane with the hand made of magic power.

“Listen, Iris!! You will be… mine foreverrr!!”

As Kazuya declares something he would never say if he were sober, a dazzling flash runs through, causing the membrane enveloping Iris to disappear.

“Onii-san… Are those words… true?”

Iris, forcefully pulled out of the membrane, clings to Kazuya’s body and murmurs softly while trembling like an abandoned kitten.

“A man never goes back on his word.”

“I will… be selfish and demand things, you know?”

“If it’s within my power, I’ll listen.”

“Even if you say you hate me, I won’t leave.”

“No need to say that.”

“I… am jealous, you know?”

“What’s new. I’ve known that for a long time.”

“So, so… I can stay by your side, right? You’ll always be with me, right? You won’t abandon me or reject me, right!?”

“I’m already married to you. That’s obvious.”

“Ugh…”

“Ugh?”

“Uwaaaahhh!!”

Finally reassured by Kazuya’s words, Iris bursts into loud tears.

Honestly… dealing with a yandere princess is a matter of life and death.

Watching Iris sobbing loudly, Kazuya gazes at her with gentle eyes and finally lets out a sigh of relief.

“Master… Are you safe…? What happened to your left arm!?”

“Ahh, my whole body hurts…”

“Ugh… My head is pounding…”

“This is the worst feeling, seriously…”

“My legs hurt so much, I can’t stand up…”

After Iris, who had clung to him for a while, fell into a deep sleep as if she had fainted, everyone began to raise their voices to let Kazuya know they were safe.

Among them, Chitose, who ran to Kazuya first, gasped at his unusual appearance.

“Haha, I’m not exactly unscathed. As you can see, my left arm—”

As Kazuya’s figure came into view and his voice was heard, Chitose was taken aback. Kazuya, who was relieved to see and hear everyone’s safety, opened his mouth to respond to Chitose’s surprised expression at his lost left hand. But in that moment, he felt something unpleasant from his left arm.

“Chitose! Cut it off!”

Although Kazuya had lost his left arm up to the elbow when he saved Iris, he confirmed that the decay of his left hand was still ongoing since it had not touched the membrane. He immediately decided to sever it.

However, unable to use his right hand, he extended his left arm sideways, leaving everything to Chitose, who was closest to him.

“Ahhhhhhhh!”

Chitose, who had just regained consciousness, instantly understood the situation and its meaning. But her body rejected the action of cutting off Kazuya’s arm, even though it was to save his life.

However, with a steel spirit that overcame the body’s resistance, Chitose unleashed a flash that could be called the fastest and most precise among all her previous attacks.

“Guuuu!”

The part of Kazuya’s shoulder that hadn’t decayed yet was swiftly cleaved by Chitose’s swung Japanese sword.

The flesh and bone were cut and perfectly bisected, and Kazuya’s severed left arm twirled in the air before falling to the ground.

At the same time, the severed left arm rotted away, turning into a black stain.

“Master!”

“Excellent! Or should I say…!?”

“Please don’t speak, Master! It hurts my wounds!”

While Chitose, as well as Luminous, one of the maids who had also woken up, and the medic rushed to Kazuya in a panic, applying healing magic and first aid, Chitose shouted with a sorrowful expression, tears welling up in her eyes.

“I understand! But let me say this much.”

“What… could it be?”

“We’re in a war, it’s natural to kill and be killed, and I have no intention of saying anything about that. But… that, that shouldn’t exist!”

“……..!”

Chitose didn’t initially understand Kazuya’s words, but she looked in the direction of his gaze, and everything became clear as she saw what was there.

“What the…!”

Kazuya lamented, and Chitose became indignant at the sight.

It was the sight of former soldiers and citizens turned into monstrous beings, wreaking havoc in a distorted form due to the bioweapons scattered by the enemy that had infiltrated the mainland.

“No matter how much it’s a war, there should be a line that should never be crossed!! They easily crossed that line and turned our comrades into those monsters!! Moreover, they hurt all of you!”

Kazuya’s anger reached its peak as his precious ones, those who should be protected, were trampled upon and defiled by despicable acts.

“Now that it has come to this, there’s no need to hold back… or rather, we can’t afford to hold back.”

“…What does that mean?”

“Take a look at this…”

[Trial of the Gods – Third Phase]

Overcome the death of your beloved!

Failure to complete the trial due to saving Iris Verhelm!

Due to the failure of the trial, the enemy’s forces will be reinforced.

239 hours and 50 minutes remaining until reinforcement begins.

“…”

Seeing the window screen that Kazuya summoned, Chitose realized that the god had once again cornered Kazuya, and she clenched her teeth in silence.

Inside, her anger and murderous intent towards the god raged, but at the same time, she felt hatred towards herself for not being able to protect Kazuya—especially this time, when she was right by his side and couldn’t do anything.

“We will put an end to this war… Chitose!”

“Hah!”

“Burn… the ‘enemies.’ Burn the enemies who hurt the ones we must protect! Show no mercy… annihilate them!”

“Understood… I will carry out your orders.”

While regretting having made Chitose, who was kind-hearted but also weak, make such a merciless decision, Chitose bowed deeply.

“Well then… I’m sorry, but I’ll leave the rest to you.”

With those words, Kazuya fell into a state of unconsciousness and was immediately transported to the hospital by the arriving troops.

“The enemies… we’ll kill them all.”

And after all the wounded, except Chitose, were transported to the hospital, what echoed in the ears of the remaining soldiers was the sound of the concrete wall collapsing and a muttered declaration filled with a definite intent to kill.

Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World Vol.5 Ch. 4

Alexia’s warnings were ignored as Kisel, together with Tilda, made their move. Kisel, whose attacks caused a whirlwind of dust to rise, successfully cornered Sericia within the swirling dirt. He then dispelled the six manifested gauntlets and relaxed his stance, shaking his head as if to say, “Phew,” and muttered to himself.

“You really are a fool. Originally ranked seventh in the hierarchy, your only advantage is the ability to summon and control multiple low-level demons. Your physical abilities are nothing special. There’s no way you can defeat us in a direct confrontation…”

With a somewhat sad expression, Kisel muttered to himself while waiting for Tilda, who had gone to finish off Sericia.

“Kisel! Once again, you’re acting on your own! What if something happens? Tilda is the same! Please follow my instructions at least a little!”

“Huh? Ah, sorry, sorry. It just happened.”

“Just happened, huh? Are you even listening to me? Well, anyway…”

“… “

Oh no, here we go again. Alexia’s sermon…

While listening to Alexia’s sermon with a wry smile, accompanied by Zola and Jill, Kisel kept waiting for Tilda’s return. However, Tilda still hadn’t appeared, no matter how much time passed.

“But seriously, Tilda is so slow. What is she doing?”

As Kisel wondered whether to call out Tilda’s name, a strong gust of wind blew, dispersing all the swirling dust in the air.

Kisel and the others, who were in the path of the gust, closed their eyes, enduring to prevent the flying dust from entering their eyes.

Then, when the dust cleared, the four of them opened their eyes, widening them to the limit, to see what lay ahead.

“No way… Is this…!?”

“Hey, hey…”

“This can’t be true…”

“… Did Tilda… lose to Sericia?”

The astonished Kisel and the others witnessed Sericia standing confidently, smiling mischievously, with the plant-type demon, a Pitcher Plant, standing behind her.

“Hehehe, why? How? You’re making those faces, but it seems you’re not as clever as you thought.”

“What do you mean by that?”

Kisel raised his voice as if speaking for everyone.

“Don’t you understand? I have been reborn once after death. Thanks to none other than Kazuya-sama. Well, more accurately, it means the previous me died…”

While covering her mouth with her hand, Sericia continued speaking, interjecting genteel laughter.

――Am I such a weakling as I used to be? No joke. Or rather, even a “brain” filled only with your muscles should understand if you think for a moment. A young girl who can only use summoning magic to some extent cannot possibly be by Kazuya-sama’s side, who is the supreme being. Those who have the right to serve him and stand by his side are those who can handle everything perfectly. It goes without saying that they must excel in appearance, but if they cannot accompany him from the bedchamber to the battlefield, it’s meaningless. Therefore… do not think of me as the weakling I used to be.

“Gulp.”

As soon as she finished speaking, an intense pressure emanated from Cecilia. It was something she didn’t have before, and Kiseru and the others unconsciously swallowed their saliva.

“And this applies to the believers as well.”

Guided by Cecilia’s gaze, Kiseru, and the others turned their attention to their surroundings, which they hadn’t paid much attention to before.

“What the…?”

“…Is this a joke?”

“No way… it’s a lie…”

“Am I dreaming…?”

There, the knights who were once proud members of the Lowen Church were being beaten up by inexperienced nuns who knew nothing about fighting.

“How pathetic!! What are you struggling with against heathen women!! Finish them off quickly!!”

Unable to bear the worsening situation of the battle, Archbishop Leveque raised his voice and urged the knights, but the situation didn’t improve at all.

“Hehe, the ones fighting the knights now are the elite warriors I carefully trained. They are the ones who will eventually serve Kazuya-sama. I didn’t think they would be easily defeated.”

In addition to the nuns overwhelming the knights, the prison guards and the goblins summoned by Cecilia, as well as Adele and others, completely dominated the battlefield.

“It’s regrettable to kill former allies, but I won’t show mercy!!”

“Everyone, follow Adele-sama!!”

“Yes, ma’am!!”

While Cecilia and Kiseru were watching, the battle continued, and Adele, carrying a sacred sword and wearing a wind armor, pierced through the gaps in the formation.

“They’re coming!! Intercept them――Guha!!”

“Damn it, damn it!! What the hell are these guys!! They’re too strong!!”

“Don’t break formation!! We have Lord Lowen’s blessing――Ugyaa!!”

“We can’t maintain formation!!”

As the nuns enlarged the gap created by Adele in the formation, the prison guards and goblins timed their attack and rushed into the formation, destroying the formation built by the knights and turning the tide of the battle, taking advantage of their numerical superiority.

“Hehehe, yes, trample them more and more, those fools who defy Kazuya-sama.”

“…We don’t have time to spare. For Tilda’s revenge――Wait. Cecilia, I don’t see Tilda, what happened to her?”

Alexia spoke with a stern expression as she realized that the battle was going better than expected, interrupting Cecilia’s reveling.

“Tilda? Ah, I didn’t kill her or anything. She’s just having a pleasant dream among us.”

Cecilia pointed to the trap of the Venus flytrap that had captured Tilda.

“Oh… so she’s alive. That’s good. Then give her back――”

“Return Tilda!!”

“Kiseru!? Don’t rush in alone!!”

Realizing that there was no time to spare with their allies in a disadvantaged position, Alexia intended to quickly defeat Cecilia and rescue Tilda, who was now confirmed to be alive.

Then, the tentacles of the Human-Eating Lantern Stinger writhed and entangled around Kiseru’s body, which had been rendered helpless and incapacitated, its limbs destroyed just like Tilda’s, albeit in a different form.

“Hey, let go…!!”

Kiseru, unable to move its limbs and only capable of groaning in pain, was carried to the trapping device while still tightly bound by the fleshy tentacles and then thrown inside.

“What the…!? What is this? Ugh, I accidentally drank it!! It feels slimy and disgusting… but it feels… feels… good…”

Kiseru, who had been thrown into the second trapping device that had newly emerged alongside Tilda’s captive device, swallowed a special solution just like Tilda did and immediately became docile, sinking into the solution.

“What a nuisance! Did Kiseru get killed too!? Zola, charge in! Jill, provide support!”

“Understood!”

“Got it!”

As Kiseru fell into Celsia’s hands, Alexia, who had defeated the summoned Cockatrice and Basilisk, quickly assessed the situation from her opened field of view. She swung her Buster Blade, clearing a path through the enemies, and together with Zola, she charged forward while receiving support from Jill.

“Are you coming…? But it’s futile. Your sword won’t reach me!”

Realizing Alexia and the others’ charge, Celsia summoned new monsters and launched a counterattack against them.

“In the name of the Seven Holy Maidens!”

“I’ll defeat you!”

However, the counterattacking monsters were pierced by arrows from Jill’s Meteor Bow and swept away by Zola’s Penetrate Spear.

“It’s over now! Celsia!”

With the dedicated support of her companions and their clearing of the path, Alexia successfully broke through the thick wall of monsters. As she leaped in front of Celsia, ready to put an end to the battle, she raised her Buster Blade in an upper stance and swung it down.

“What…!? No way. Hehe, it’s your end, you know.”

Just before the blade of the Buster Blade approached Celsia’s face contorted in fear. But right before the blade hit, her expression changed dramatically, showing a sinister smile that seemed to reflect the depths of an abyss.

“Huh!?”

Oh no!!

Seeing that smile, Alexia’s spine froze in an instant. Instinctively, she tried to interrupt her attack and distance herself from Celsia, but it was too late.

“Guhh!?”

Instead of the looming Celsia in front of her, Alexia received a powerful blow unexpectedly launched from an entirely different direction, from an empty space. She was sent flying and her body bent into a “V” shape, crashing into the thick concrete wall surrounding the prisoner facility.

Damn it…

As Alexia’s consciousness faded, the last thing she saw was Celsia, who had been facing her just moments ago, disappearing like an illusion, replaced by the figure of “Celsia” emerging from an empty space with a group of monsters, and Zola and Jill standing in its way.

The sound of familiar swordplay hit Alexia’s eardrums, waking her up.

-…ugh, what happened to me!? Did I lose consciousness!? I can’t believe it!!

“How’s the battle… No way…”

“Oh, you finally woke up, Alexia.”

Alexia opened her eyes and saw the scene before her.

There was Celsia, wearing a pure white robe stained red with blood, with an out-of-place smile on her face. Zola and Jill, covered in numerous wounds and soaked in their own blood

“Hmph!! Do you think you can deceive me with falsehoods? It won’t work! We must obey everything the church says! That is all!”

“What!? Have you abandoned the pursuit of knowledge and even the act of thinking? Why don’t you try to uncover the darkness of the church? You, whom I admired!”

As Cecilia spoke, she wove her words while deflecting the successive slashes that came at her like a storm.

“What? You… admired me? No, what is this ‘darkness of the church’? I cannot simply let that slide.”

Taken aback by Cecilia’s words, Alexia instinctively halted her attacks.

“…Let me enlighten you then, about the history stained with the blood of the church and the evil deeds steeped in resentment.”

“Tsk, you’ve said too much.”

Feeling a surge of anger, Cecilia unintentionally let slip her true feelings and began to speak as if to cover up her slip of the tongue.

“However, there is not enough time to reveal everything. Let me briefly tell you the fate of the Seven Saintesses.”

“The… fate of the Seven Saintesses?”

“Yes, you should know that unless they meet an untimely accident or die in battle, the Seven Saintesses undergo a generational succession together. Now, let’s get to the point. What do you think happens to the retired predecessors after the generational succession?”

Alexia, with a face that seemed to say she already knew everything, opened her mouth in response to Cecilia’s question.

“After fulfilling their roles, the retired Seven Saintesses become missionaries and embark on a journey to spread the knowledge of the Lowein Church to more people.”

“Well, that’s the official story. However, in reality, they are imprisoned in the underground dungeon of the holy land and endlessly violated by the church’s priests.”

“Haha, how absurd. There’s no way such a thing exists. Even if you’re lying, at least be a bit more convincing—”

“Then why have you never heard any rumors about the previous predecessors?”

“That’s because they continue their activities as missionaries under new names—”

“Have you ever heard about the results of their missionary work?”

“…”

“Why have you never received a single letter from them? Oh, well, it seems we have an unwelcome guest.”

Just as Alexia had a small doubt, Sericia continued speaking, and a short sword flew toward her.

Dodging the short sword, Sericia glared at the assailant.

“Saintess Alexia, you should not lend an ear to the words of heretics. Spreading baseless lies to confuse us is their way of doing things.”

“Grand Bishop…”

Sericia was about to throw back the short sword and interrupt their conversation when Archbishop Levelk, who had stopped her attack, spoke up.

“Hmph… It is you who is spouting baseless lies, Levelk. Saying that salvation comes from believing in Lowein.”

“…I’ve achieved my goal. I’m leaving. Saintess Alexia.”

“What…?”

Ignoring Sericia’s words, Alexia, who had been caught off guard, turned her gaze to the detention facility, and at the same time, the knights of the church rushed out from inside the facility.

“What!! So there was a separate unit after all! Everyone, make way! Be careful not to make any rash moves!”

To avoid being surrounded from the front and back, Sericia raised her voice and deliberately gave the knights a way to escape.

As a result, the ongoing battle between the two sides was interrupted, and they entered a standoff similar to before the fighting began.

That person… What is he thinking? Well, let’s leave him alone for now.

Having successfully escaped with the help of the knights

“Now, everyone. Let’s go home.”

“Ignoring me, huh? Fine then. Die.”

Annoyed by Levelk’s nonchalant attitude of completely ignoring her, Celicia summons a monster and commands it to attack.

“Celicia, I will temporarily entrust everyone to you. But if you try to harm them or do anything strange, I will tear you apart.”

“A futile bark from a loser… What!? They disappeared…?”

Just as the monster was about to attack Levelk and the others, an irritated Alexia spouts some parting words and a huge magic circle appears at their feet.

And with a dazzling flash of light from the magic circle, Levelk, and the others vanish from the prison island.

“I can’t believe it… Was that teleportation magic? No, but that magic was supposed to have been lost long ago…”

“Phew… It’s over, Celicia.”

As Celicia ponders the reason why the enemy suddenly disappeared, Adele, covered in battle dust and with a tired expression, comes to her side.

“Adele…”

Perhaps due to the tension being relieved by Adele’s presence, Celicia suddenly loses her balance.

“Oops!! Are you okay, Celicia?”

“Yes, yes, I’m fine. I’m sorry, I just used too much magic.”

Sigh… I was planning to capture all seven saintesses and kill the rest, but in the end, thanks to Alexia and the others retreating, I might have been saved.

If we had continued the battle, my magic would have been depleted before reaching a conclusion…

Just before collapsing, Celicia, held by Adele’s arms, thinks and expresses her thoughts with a dry smile.

“Geez… I was so worried that you were injured.”

“Hehehe, don’t worry, Adele. I haven’t harmed this body that Kazuya-sama will enjoy.”

“Well, I’m glad, Celicia.”

While looking at Celicia, who was drooling while fantasizing about Kazuya’s favor, Adele raises his cheek and nods.

“Why are you talking about it as if it’s someone else’s business, Adele? Of course, you can also be held by him.”

“Wha!? N-No, I’m good. I’ll refrain…”

“You were so intensely excited, and yet you’re holding back like that… No, that’s not it. Adele, are you afraid that being embraced by Kazuya-sama might become addictive?”

“…”

“I’ll take your silence as a yes, A-de-le?”

As Celicia teases the blushing Adele, an HH-60 Pave Hawk approaches the prison island, causing a sandstorm.

“One of the reinforcements seems to have arrived a bit late… But considering the post-battle cleanup ahead, it gives me a headache… However, capturing six out of the seven saintesses and minimizing the damage… It seems I might be favored by Kazuya-sama again. Ju-ri, oh, drool is…”

“Well, I’m glad, Celicia.”

While Celicia’s drooling from fantasizing about Kazuya’s favor, Adele hangs his cheek and agrees.

“Why are you talking about it as if it’s someone else’s business, Adele? Of course, you can also be held by him.”

“W-What!? I’m fine. I’ll refrain…”

“You were so passionately shaken, and yet you hold back like that… No, that’s not it. Adele, are you scared that being embraced by Kazuya-sama might become addictive?”

“…”

“I’ll take your silence as a yes, A-de-le?”

As Celicia teases the blushing Adele, one of the HH-60s that flew from the mainland lands before them, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Then, as the sliding door on the side of the landed HH-60 opens, a member of the Imperial Guard rushes out in a panic.

“Pardon me! Are you Lady Celicia Fittlork and Lord Adele Zaxen, no mistake, right!?”

“Yes, that’s right.”

“No doubt about it.”

“Then, please get on the helicopter immediately! Hurry!”

“W-Wait a minute. What happened?”

Confused by the Imperial Guard member who hurried them without explaining the reason, Celicia asks why they are in such a rush.

However, the answer she received from the member was unbelievable.

“Due to conflicting information, I don’t have the details, but the Supreme Chancellor… The Supreme Chancellor is in critical condition, unconscious, in the hands of the enemy!!”

“What…?”

Startled by the information brought by the member, Celicia opens her eyes wide in astonishment and drops the Whipper Wand she was holding, creating a loud dry sound that resonates in the surroundings.

A sudden turn of events.

By the way, in the next or the next-next chapter, Kazuya will show his male charm (probably).

(;´д`)

And in this chapter… I regret that there are several scenes I couldn’t write or include due to lack of time.

Like the battle inside the prison… (Mysterious meaning)

Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World Vol.5 Ch3

The situation that had maintained a delicate balance and was on the verge of erupting had already become a thing of the past. It transformed into a battlefield where lives were taken, killings occurred, and prisoners fought in the exercise field of the detention facility on Prison Island.

“Go forth, faithful servants of Rowein, pure and mighty divine soldiers! In the name of God, deliver divine punishment to the foolish men who have been deceived and fallen into corruption!”

“OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!”

“…There’s no other choice now. I have various thoughts, but at the very least, we will take down Serisha and Adelle with our own hands!! Everyone, follow me!”

“Understood!”

“Roger!”

“Yes, sir!”

“Got it!”

With the command of Archbishop Levelk, the knights of the Church Knight Order, armed and with heightened spirits, charged forward. Serisha glared at them with eyes burning with anger.

Yes, they were the detestable enemies who insulted and hated Kazuya, whom she admired as a god.

“Kill them.”

At the same time as Serisha’s small words filled with murderous intent, the security guards and prison wardens began their synchronized shooting.

“Fire, fire, fire!! Keep shooting!”

“They won’t die so easily!! Kill them thoroughly!”

Amidst the warning shouts from the security guards who had experienced the horror of the enemy in the initial battle, the prison wardens continued to pull the triggers of their Heckler & Koch G36KA2 rifles, an improved version of the G36 adopted by the German Federal Armed Forces and others.

“Don’t worry about the bullets!! Keep up the barrage!! Take down as many as possible!”

To maintain the dense barrage, the soldiers used the translucent-style 30-round magazines of the G36KA2, which allowed them to easily see the remaining ammunition. Once they exhausted the magazines, they reloaded with new ones attached to the sides of the empty magazines and continued firing, dispersing 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.

They were soldiers who consumed ammunition like water, utilizing what is commonly known as the “jungle style.” But there was someone who unleashed an even greater number of bullets—artillery shells.

Several of them were installed on the rooftop of the detention facility, originally low-altitude anti-aircraft towed guns for eliminating aerial threats, but they could also be used for ground attacks. They lowered the elevation angle to its limit and participated in the battle.

The name of that artillery gun was ZU-23-2. Developed by the Soviet Union after World War II, it has been used by various countries around the world. Terrorists who spread across the world also actively employ it by towing it with light vehicles or mounting it on the bed, using it as a technical—a versatile weapon.

From the ZU-23-2, firing at a rate of 400 rounds per minute, 23x152mm shells—BZT armor-piercing incendiary tracer rounds and OFZ incendiary high-explosive tracer rounds—were being rapidly discharged.

Each time, the deafening sound of gunfire and the dazzling muzzle flash violently shook their eardrums, as they relentlessly kept firing at the enemies.

“I guess… it’s no use, after all.”

Serisha narrowed her eyes and muttered softly as she looked at the intense gunfire taking place ahead.

“Well, it seems we have no choice but to handle it ourselves.”

“Then I’ll take care of the Seven Saintesses. Adele, I’ll leave the support and dealing with the Knight Order to everyone else.”

“…It’s 7 against 1, you know? Are you sure you’ll be okay on your own, Serisha?”

“Yes, I may struggle a bit, but there’s no problem. Yes, that’s right. Do you think I would lose to those who mocked Kazuya-sama!? Besides, for some reason, I feel like I can overwhelm them now.”

“I-I see… That’s reassuring. But please be careful. I’ll try to finish off the Knight Order as quickly as possible and come to support you, Serisha.”

“Hehe, I’m counting on you, Adele.”

Adelle felt slightly intimidated by Serisha’s black smile and the burning fighting spirit in her eyes.

Ignoring their conversation, Carl Gustav (recoilless rifle) 84mm multipurpose shells and AG36 grenade launchers’ 40x46mm grenades were explosively launched, filling the area with explosions and gusts of wind.

After that, the symphony of gunfire that had lasted for about 2-3 minutes suddenly ceased.

“S-So, how was it?”

“We showered them with that much firepower… they should at least…”

The soldiers, still holding their weapons, nervously waited with tense expressions for the dust clouds to settle.

“I’ll make the first move.”

“Understood.”

However, Serisha and Adelle, who were well aware of their former colleagues’ abilities and had experienced fighting alongside them, were already preparing for their next actions even before the dust cleared.

“…Monsters, aren’t they?”

“They managed to withstand that barrage!?”

“The Guardian Buckler is a holy relic that blocks any attack. This level of attack won’t work.”

Ahead of the astonished prison guards’ gaze, as the dust settled, the figure that appeared was Xenovia, ranked fourth in the hierarchy, who had deployed a barrier from her holy relic, the Guardian Buckler, protecting her comrades from the barrage.

“I’ll defend against attacks from above. Everyone, continue the assault!”

“Alright, don’t waste Xenovia’s dedication! Everyone, charge in!”

“O-ooohhh!!”

The Knights, who had been pinned down by a hail of bullets, were urged forward by Xenovia’s words.

And at that moment, as Alexia, wielding the sacred sword Buster Blade, led the group, and the knights and seven holy maidens charged forward to exploit the “mysteriously inactive” enemies’ vulnerability, a voice sent shivers down Alexia’s spine. It was Ceresia, who had silently approached and swung her sacred tool, the Whipper Wand, striking Alexia.

“What?! C-Ceresia!?”

What is this power of Ceresia’s? Alexia, instinctively using her Buster Blade to defend against the attack, was most surprised by the fact that Ceresia, a rear-guard type, had engaged her, a vanguard type, in close combat. She also felt a temporary numbness in her arm from the powerful strike.

“What?! Sei!!”

“Take this!”

To assist Alexia, Zola launched a penetrating strike with her Penetrate Spear, and Jill followed up with her Meteor Bow. However, Ceresia easily evaded both attacks, fluttering away like a butterfly, and retreated to the rear.

“Tch, the surprise attack failed… well, whatever. Now, you wretched scum who dared to insult Kazuya-sama. Allow me to show you a fraction of the power he bestowed upon me. The terrifying power of combining magic with incorporated science!”

“…First, let’s start with pawns to stall them.”

After the surprise attack failed and Ceresia evaded the counterattack and retreated, she declared this and muttered an incantation while slamming her Whipper Wand into the ground, unfolding a magic circle.

“Mause, Kill, Dells! Now, respond to my call and reveal yourselves! You, the foot soldiers who hunger for blood and flesh!”

Summoning “them” on a scale of hundreds, Ceresia had a creepy smile on her face.

“Kill every last one of them!—”

An order filled with even more sinister killing intent than the start of the war was issued, but the target of that order was not the guards.

The order was given to the summoned creatures—goblins summoned by Ceresia.

But not just ordinary goblins. These were goblins equipped with drum magazines and wielding MPS AA-12, capable of firing with one hand and enabling full-auto shotgun shooting.

“Gyiii!!”

The goblins, armed with modern weapons and forming an unbreakable formation, let out a piercing roar as they pulled the trigger of the AA-12, a shotgun capable of low recoil even with one hand, which spewed a relentless and dense barrage of bullets that could be called a bullet “curtain.”

“Giggy, Giggyy!!”

And after emptying their magazines, the goblins discarded the AA-12s and launched an attack on the enemies, driven by their instinct to fight.

“Tch, thank you, Xenovia. Stay back, as monsters are coming.”

“I understand… I’ll do that… Kahh!!”

Just before the goblins launched their attack, Xenovia, who had stepped forward again to protect her comrades, fulfilling the role of a shield, was suddenly struck by blood and collapsed to the ground, coughing up blood.

“Xenovia!?”

Alexia, hurriedly lifting up the fallen Xenovia, swallowed her breath as she saw the holes pierced through Xenovia’s full plate armor, the flowing red blood, and the holy tool Guardian Buckler, riddled with holes and rolling on the ground.

“Ah, I forgot to mention earlier, but among the bullets used in the previous attack, there were a few specially made

When Alexia blocked Celicia’s strike, she somehow sensed the hidden power within Celicia. Alexia was determined to launch a simultaneous attack, but against her intentions, Tilda and Kisel rushed in without following orders.

As Tilda and Kisel approached, disregarding Alexia’s attempts to stop them, Celicia was still immersed in a sea of thoughts.

Although there was already an organization (the Nagato sect) in place to counteract them, they were struggling because they lacked powerful forces. So, timing-wise, it might have been just right.

Besides, even though they were scum, we must give them a chance to be saved at least once, or rather, we must let them receive Kazuya-sama’s salvation.

For those pitiful ones who didn’t know the true god and had no choice but to believe in counterfeit gods… well.

Well, they do have decent appearances, so let’s present them to Kazuya-sama and let him “enjoy” them… They should have some utility, at least as much as a toilet.

“Thinking while facing the enemy!!”

“Don’t let your guard down, Celiciaaa!!”

“…Huh!?”

Celicia, who had been entertaining quite despicable thoughts, noticed the presence of the two who had approached her. By the time she snapped out of it, it was already too late.

Kisel, who had jumped high in the air and entered an attacking motion, swung his fist with six gauntlets materialized through Octo Knuckle Guard, infused with magical power. The gauntlets, capable of floating in the air and moving freely according to Kisel’s will, landed first, blocking Celicia’s escape route and creating a fierce dust cloud that obscured her vision.

While the gloves that had already penetrated the ground and Kisel, who had lost sight of the target, were caught up in the billowing dust, Celicia managed to narrowly avoid the attack by jumping back.

“What!?”

“Tch! I missed!!”

Kisel’s attack caused the ground of the open field, which had exposed soil, to collapse and create a crater.

I need to regain my posture!

Taking advantage of the thick dust cloud created by the gloves and the missed punches of Kisel, Celicia, with a small distortion in her mouth, readjusted her posture and took refuge in the dust.

With that, Celicia, who had set up a certain mechanism and successfully concealed herself within the dust, fell into the trap set by Tilda and Kisel.

“It’s disappointing, but this is the end.”

Even though she was vigilantly watching all directions while hiding in the dust cloud, Celicia turned her eyes wide when she heard a voice from behind. What she saw when she turned around was two daggers poised to cut her throat.

Moreover, the figure of Tilda, ranked 5th in the hierarchy, who had donned the Invisible Coat, which could make her transparent like an optical camouflage and undetectable by any sense.

“S-So…!”

Celicia revealed her surprise and tried to escape, but it was already too late.

“Goodbye.”

Due to the effect of the Invisible Coat, Tilda, who had turned invisible, gripped the two shining daggers in her hand and tried to thrust them into Celicia’s throat at the same time— or so it seemed.

“What!?”

The daggers passed through the target’s neck without cutting it, causing only a momentary distortion in Celicia’s figure.

“Tch!!”

Startled by the unexpected turn of events, Tilda quickly regained her composure and swung the daggers again, attempting to slash Celicia’s throat.

However, just like before, her attack had no effect, and all she could do was

“…My my, you seem energetic despite having your limbs crushed. Well, that’s fine. I’ll answer your question.”

Despite suffering severe injuries with complex fractures in both her hands and legs, Sericia smiled wryly as she responded to Tilda’s questioning in a confident tone.

“The figure you were attacking earlier was a projection of myself created by a 3D projector that displayed holographic images. In other words, it was a fake. Look closely, and you’ll see a small box beneath the fake.”

“A… fake? That’s absurd! Although it didn’t have substance, I definitely sensed your presence there.”

“Yes, that’s true. Because I was behind the projected fake. Like this…”

Sericia took out her cloak and covered her head, causing her figure to disappear.

“Wha… impossible… absurd…”

Just like Tilda’s possession of the sacred artifact, the Invisible Coat.

“You have the expected expression on your face, don’t you?”

Observing Tilda’s wide-eyed stare and trembling body, Sericia chuckled softly and continued her explanation.

“This is called the ‘Quantum Stealth Optical Camouflage,’ one of the items Kazuya-sama gave me. By the way… hey, Tilda. How do you feel now? How does it feel to be defeated by the transparency that was once your exclusive patent? How does it feel to be defeated by me, who was granted power beyond the sacred artifacts given by your believed god? Hey, hey, hey, hey!!”

“Sh… shut up!!”

Sericia removed the cloak of the Quantum Stealth Optical Camouflage and taunted the defeated Tilda with pleasure, while Tilda glared at her with hatred in her eyes.

“Well, scary. …By the way, let me give you another piece of information. I’ll tell you the exact reason why I accurately shattered your transparent limbs.”

To crush Tilda’s confidence, pride, and faith, Sericia went for the finishing blow.

“The reason is this: AN/PSQ-20. This is originally a night vision device, but it has a convenient feature called a thermal imager. It can detect the heat emitted from objects. Thanks to this feature, I knew exactly where you were and what you were planning. Oh, and your beloved god-given Invisible Coat is detectable by thermal imaging, but this Quantum Stealth Optical Camouflage given to me by Kazuya-sama is not. In other words, what I mean to say is… your believed god is inferior to Kazuya-sama after all.”

“What!? No, that’s… no, it can’t be!!… Lowen-sama is the greatest in this world… others… impossible…”

Tilda, confused by the fact that the sacred tools given by the god she was taught to believe in were inferior to the enemy’s tools, fell into disarray.

“Zerbe, Now, Cremi, Fag, Sera… let’s continue in your dreams.”

“Ugh… aah… aah… aaahhh… no… the Lohen Faith… believe… the savior… the Seven Holy Maidens…”

And taking advantage of that confusion, Sericia cast a spell on Tilda, putting her to sleep and launching a relentless mental attack in her dreams, gradually destroying Tilda’s faith.

Although only 10 seconds had passed in reality, Tilda, who had been enduring continuous mental attacks in her dream for an eternity, eventually had her faith completely shattered.

“Such a fragile faith you had. It crumbled so easily with just a little poke… Well, I wouldn’t want you to become completely useless by breaking your spirit too much. Please stay quiet in here for a while.”

Having had her most significant pillar, her faith, denied and destroyed

==================================================================

It became lengthy, so I divided it. Therefore, the full-fledged Cecilia Musou will start next time…

Below is a rough bonus.

(What I recently dreamed of)

The season was approaching for farewells and new journeys.

In a room of a certain high school building, female students were engaged in lively conversations.

“Ah, it’s already graduation… Somehow, these three years went by so fast.”

“Yeah, that’s true.”

“Hey, speaking of which, Kazuya-sensei is popular with the students, right?”

“Yeah, very much.”

“So, has he ever been confessed to by a student before?”

“Well… I wonder. Why not ask him directly?”

“Yeah, let’s do that. So, Kazuya-sensei, how about pretending you didn’t hear and answering that?”

Gulp

The male teacher, dressed in a suit, reacted with surprise to the girls’ question.

“W-What are you talking about?”

“The fact that you’re visibly flustered says it all.”

“Yeah. So, Kazuya-sensei!! What’s your answer?”

Realizing that the gazes of all the students in the class were focused on him, Kazuya sighed and scratched his head before speaking.

“I appreciate your feelings, but I can’t give you an answer to that. However, if your feelings don’t change even after you become an adult, then… I said that.”

“Boooooring!!!”

“What are you expecting from us!! The conversation is over!! Let’s hurry up and move to the gymnasium!!”

“Yes, sir!”

In order to divert the students’ embarrassment, Kazuya hurried them to the gymnasium, finally catching his breath there.

Shiver

“Who is it… Ah, it’s Iris and Karen.”

As Kazuya turned around sharply, he was met with an inexplicable and clingy gaze from the two female students who had been very close to him for some time.

“…At most, look forward to what happens next.”

“We waited for three years… And now another two…”

The two muttered quietly and passed by Kazuya, heading towards the gymnasium.

What on earth is going on?

As Kazuya left the classroom, he twisted his head, observing the different attitudes of the two girls.

So, this is how it is…

Under the piercing gazes of teachers, students, and parents, Kazuya found himself in a predicament.

“Kazuya, I love you. Please go out with me.”

“Kazuya-sensei, I love you so much. Please be with me!”

Right after the graduation ceremony ended, Karen and Iris caught Kazuya and confessed their love to him.

Just when Kazuya was wondering how to handle the situation…

A gust of wind blew.

And the wall of onlookers surrounding Kazuya and the others broke apart.

…Oh, by the way, you’re already an adult.

As the wall of onlookers was torn apart, a person appeared, and Kazuya’s cheek twitched.

“Kazuya-sensei, no, my lord. I have come to pick you up as promised.”

It was Kazuya’s former student, Kazama Chitose, who had become even more beautiful than when they parted.

…To think I would have such dreams. The author must be in the terminal phase already (laughs).

Modern Weapons Cheat in Another World

Vol 5 Ch 2

The arrival of fanatic Cecilia!!

Adel’s influence… is weak (sweating)

===================================================

The two assault armors, which had been deployed as part of riot control rather than defense, and the prison guards who had pulled heavy weapons out of the armory, as well as Cecilia and Adele accompanied by countless followers of the Nagato Religion, dressed in orange jumpsuits supplied to the prisoners and original habits designed by Cecilia, and wielding daggers and batons, had taken their positions on the prison grounds, waiting for the right moment.

“Damn it! Get back, get back!”

“Don’t dawdle, hurry!”

The security guards, risking their lives to fulfill their duties, fighting against the intruders, realized firsthand that they were no match for their opponents. Eventually, unable to hold the defensive line any longer, they retreated in disarray and sought refuge within Cecilia’s formation.

Leading the hundreds of knights of the Church Knights, the fighting force owned by the Rowen Church, were the seven Saintesses, each wearing their combat attire or habits adorned with their respective armors.

Ranked first was Alexia Islashia, bearing the title of “Paladin” and wielding the sacred sword, Buster Blade. She was a dignified beauty with long silky golden hair, a slender yet well-built body, and a distinctive large bosom that emphasized her slimness.

Ranked second was Zora Uranus, bearing the title of “Lancer” and wielding the magical spear, Penetrate Spear. Clad in a deep crimson habit, with short, disheveled crimson hair and sharp eyes, her tall and graceful figure evoked the image of a wolf, exuding a wild charm.

Ranked third was Jill Kief, bearing the title of “Archer” and wielding the holy bow, Meteor Bow. She had emerald green hair that reached her waist, which was braided into three strands, and a cheerful smile that resembled a blooming flower, radiating an aura of kindness, compassion, and motherhood.

Ranked fourth was Xenovia Konigsberg, bearing the title of “Shielder” and wielding the large shield, Guardian Buckler. She wore a full plate armor that covered her entire body, making her appearance indistinguishable. The only thing known about her was that she was the shortest among the seven Saintesses.

Ranked fifth was Tilda Hagiri, bearing the title of “Assassin” and wielding the spiritual equipment, Invisible Coat. While boasting a figure that was on par with the others in terms of style, she had a face that somewhat resembled a Japanese person, with a light yellowish-white complexion, princess-cut black hair, and black eyes.

Ranked sixth was Kiselle Odessa, bearing the title of “Fighter” and wielding the eight-armed gauntlet, Octo Knuckle Guard. She was a voluptuous beauty with chocolate-colored skin, a perky buttocks, and a generous bosom.

Ranked seventh was Illumina Lennon, bearing the title of “Medic” and wielding the healing staff, Recovery Staff. She had chestnut-colored long hair tied up in a ponytail, narrow eyes, and glasses, giving her a strong-willed appearance reminiscent of a determined woman.

Please note that the translation provided is based on the context given and may vary depending on the specific terminology used in the original text.

Such a sight of Cecilia and Adel, who had set up their formation and were waiting, caught the attention of the seven holy maidens, causing them to stop in their tracks.

The eerie silence filled the air as both sides exchanged wordless, probing glances. The first to break the silence was Alexia.

“…Long time no see, Cecilia.”

“…Yes, indeed, Alexia. So, what brings you here?”

“What? It’s obvious… We came to save Lady Cecilia, Adel, and all the faithful!”

Interrupting Alexia’s words, Illumina, the seventh-ranked holy maiden, directed her passionate gaze towards Cecilia.

“That’s why we should hurry back to the Empire, to the Holy Land, Lady Cecilia! Away from this vile place inhabited by heretics, as soon as possible!”

“…”

“…L-Lady Cecilia?”

Illumina pleaded with Cecilia, but Cecilia responded with a silent and contemptuous gaze.

“Holy Maiden Cecilia, what’s the matter?”

Despite their close relationship as teacher and disciple, Cecilia showed little reaction to Illumina’s words. Archbishop Levelc Antonov, with a smile fixed on his face, interjected.

“…Archbishop, please refrain from calling me a holy maiden.”

Cecilia raised an eyebrow, taking offense at the grating words uttered by Levelc.

“What are you talking about, Holy Maiden Cecilia? It is an undeniable fact that you are one of the Seven Holy Maidens. And… ah, are you concerned about her? Illumina, your disciple, is here because you became a prisoner of the Canary Kingdom’s invasion, and she was appointed as one of the Seven Holy Maidens in your stead. Once you return, you are intended to resume your position as one of the Seven Holy Maidens. This is an arrangement that Illumina has already agreed to.”

“…That’s not what I’m saying.”

“What do you mean, Holy Maiden Cecilia?”

“I’m saying… Stop calling me a holy maiden!”

Cecilia’s outburst caused a solemn silence to fall upon the scene.

Every time she was referred to as a holy maiden, vivid flashbacks of the religious persecution she had carried out under the banner of righteousness, the scenes of slaughtering the heretics with the monsters she had summoned, inflicted mental anguish upon her.

“Let me make it clear… Adel and I, as well as most of the prisoners, do not wish to return to the Empire. We have no intention of going back. And the fact that I have believed in the teachings of the Rowen Church and worked as one of the Seven Holy Maidens is the greatest stain on my life!”

Cecilia’s declaration left the seven holy maidens dumbfounded, while Archbishop Levelc’s smile distorted, and the knights of the Church’s Order murmured among themselves.

“H-Holy Maiden Cecilia!? What are you saying? Not returning to the Empire!? This is not a time for joking!”

“Moreover… No, before that, it is unimaginable that the Rowen Church, a sacred religion that illuminates the entire world, would be the greatest stain! Laughable beyond belief!”

Interrupting Levelc’s words, Cecilia burst into maniacal laughter, clutching her stomach, wearing a fierce smile.

“What’s so funny!? The Rowen Church is a sacred religion that worships the one and only supreme god, Lord Rowen, and it preaches His divine teachings. It is the most noble religion!”

“Hmph, it’s absolutely impossible. Even if the Rowen Church, which preaches the supreme teachings in the distant realms of Chou or Kyou, or beyond, had the most noble followers, it would be meaningless if those who serve it were corrupted.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“I mean it literally, Archbishop. While priests and clergy publicly vow poverty and purity, behind the scenes, they indulge in gluttony, alcohol, women, power, wealth. They extort money from the truly poor believers under the guise of alms, sending it as bribes to the powerful or stuffing it in their own pockets. The Church Knights, who should protect the believers and set an example, use their power to accuse innocent believers and innocent people and resort to violence. A corrupt religion that allows this to happen, turns a blind eye, and rots away cannot be a sacred religion that illuminates the world!”

“Well, I won’t say you’re entirely wrong, but isn’t that just a small fraction of them?”

“That’s right, Cecilia. People can deviate from the path, and that’s precisely why we need the teachings of the Rowen Church.”

“It’s true that a part of the Church has been corrupted. However, the teachings of our god, the Rowen Church, are not wrong,” countered Zola, the second-ranked holy maiden, Jill, the third-ranked, and Xenovia, the fourth-ranked.

“Then, Zola, Jill, Xenovia, let me ask you three. What has the god of the Rowen Church, whom you have such faith in, brought to us?”

“Oh? You’re asking something incomprehensible again… Well, fine, I’ll answer――Salvation.”

“Peace, perhaps?”

“Order.”

“Looks like there’s nothing but stubborn fools among you.”

“What!?”

Cecilia replied to the three with contempt.

“Do you really think that a narrow-minded god who refuses to acknowledge demons and beastmen, let alone exterminate them, has brought salvation, peace, or order to us?”

“Then what’s your answer?”

“What has been brought to us is hell, war, and chaos.”

After her own answer was denied and she was ridiculed, Zola, enraged, asked Cecilia.

“Ha… Shall we stop this pointless farce?”

“I agree with Tilda.”

Just as Zola was about to pounce on Cecilia in response to her words, Tilda, the fifth-ranked, and Kisel, the sixth-ranked, spoke up.

“…Don’t you both have something to say?”

“No, we don’t. To you, a betrayer manipulated by a scoundrel named Nagato…”

“That’s right. To you, who started some heretical religion called Nagatoism…”

“W-Wait a minute! Both of you! My sister has been brainwashed by the enemy! Please, wake up!”

“Don’t… You dare… Don’t you dare insult him… I won’t forgive you, no matter what… for insulting Kazuya-sama, whom you know nothing about…”

“Wha…?”

Faced with Cecilia’s furious voice distorted by anger, not only the Church Knights and the Archbishop but even the Seven Holy Maidens were momentarily overwhelmed.

And as for the person himself, Kazuya, being insulted caused his blood to boil completely, struggling desperately to suppress the raging anger that made his whole body tremble.

“O, elder sister…”

“Haa… Haa… sigh Well, this is a good opportunity, so let me clarify things since there seems to be a misunderstanding. I haven’t been brainwashed. And my admiration for that person is based on my own will!”

“No, Celsia. You were brainwashed by Nagato—”

“Furthermore, let me clarify without any misunderstanding. Kazuya-sama’s brainwashing refers to the secondary effect that occurs when Kazuya-sama directly transfers his own mana to treat those who are injured or afflicted by illness.”

“What!? He directly transfers his own mana to others!?”

In response to Celsia’s words, almost everyone present at the scene expressed their surprise, just like Alexia.

“Yes, I was quite surprised when I learned the truth as well. Healing magic in our world works by the user converting their formless mana through an incantation, transforming it into concrete healing magic. Therefore, due to the conversion of mana, there is always wasteful consumption, making dramatic recovery impossible.”

“…”

“However, Kazuya-sama can directly send his mana to the target, maintaining 100% of his mana, dramatically enhancing the target’s healing ability. He can even regenerate lost limbs by sacrificing his own mana as a cost.”

“That’s… an unbelievable story, but if it’s true, then the people who received Nagato’s treatment would indeed be influenced by Nagato’s mana and fall into a kind of brainwashed state, wouldn’t they?”

In response to Alexia’s question, Celsia replied with a smile on her face.

“Yes, that’s correct. Those who have received Kazuya-sama’s treatment and recovered will develop favorable feelings towards Kazuya-sama, depending on the extent of their injuries or illnesses—the amount of mana they received. However… it’s only temporary. As time passes, Kazuya-sama’s mana naturally dissipates. Furthermore, if someone is skilled in mana control, they can even bring Kazuya-sama’s mana that colors themselves under control.”

“…………”

The seven Saintesses, who had been listening to Celsia’s statement with mixed skepticism, understood that further questioning would be futile.

Because among the previous seven Saintesses, Celsia was the most skilled in mana control.

…If I mix enough lies and truths like this, they’ll believe it.

No one knows that Celsia’s words consist of a great deal of lies and a minuscule amount of truth.

As a side note, Adele, who was listening to Celsia’s story beside her and taking it at face value, had been convinced that she liked Kazuya because she had been brainwashed by him all this time. But now, she believed that it was not because she was brainwashed but simply because she had fallen in love with Kazuya, and she silently agonized over it.

“Celsia, if your story is true and you are indeed sane… There’s one last thing I really want to ask. Why do you worship a man like Nagato to the extent of abandoning the Lawen Church?”

“Why do I worship Kazuya-sama?”

In response to Alexia’s final question, which resembled lingering attachment, Celsia poured out her thoughts.

“It’s simple. I just saw, learned, and felt his actions up close and thought he was deserving of my complete devotion.”

“Your complete devotion…?”

“Y-Yes, that’s right. Does your god save those on the brink of death? Will they rescue a woman from an enemy country who has lost both eyes and limbs, with her entire body burned and disfigured, on the verge of death? Will they provide unconditional assistance to those who are starving and emaciated? Will they interact with demons and beastmen without discrimination, with an open heart? Will they lift the sorrowful souls who have been despised, persecuted, and wished for death from the depths of despair, giving them a place to belong and pouring love upon them? Will they treat prisoners of war without resorting to violence, not as slaves but as fellow human beings? Will they bestow peace and pleasure, not slaughter and chaos? No!! Lowein only perpetuates senseless killings, spreading chaos and hatred endlessly throughout the world!! Unlike that abominable god, Kazuya-sama is the one who truly saves and guides me and us!! No matter how much we pray, the god who offers no salvation, who has nothing but decorative value, is different!! That person is the god!! The one who descended upon this world as the God in Human Form!! Therefore, it is appropriate for us to dedicate our prayers, blood, flesh, and soul, to worship and have faith in Him!”

“……….”

As Cecilia’s words were spewed out of her mouth like a machine gun, everyone on the side of the Lowein faith was dumbfounded and frozen in place.

“W-Wait a minute… Saint Cecilia. By pleasure, do you mean…!?”

“Yes, if you mean losing my virginity, I’ve already offered it to Kazuya-sama a long time ago. Adel did too, by the way. Ah, thinking back now, it was such a blissful moment. The supreme moment when the membrane was pierced, the flesh tilled, and the seed implanted deep inside the womb. Heheh, Adel, for example, although she was initially shy, in the end, she pushed Kazuya-sama down, shamelessly clung to him, and demanded his seed like a beast.”

“Hey, Cecilia, what are you…!?”

Adel, whose loss of virginity and subsequent sexual activities were exposed without permission, turned bright red in boiling anger.

“Wha… What on earth is this? Saint Cecilia, Hero Adel. No, Cecilia and Adel. How could you two become such foolish and defiled beings!!”

“Please wait, Archbishop!! The current Cecilia is clearly not normal!! The same goes for Hero Adel!! They must have been brainwashed–“

“Be silent!! Whether they have been brainwashed or not is irrelevant!! The fact remains that those two have already been defiled!! Once a person is defiled, they can never return to their former purity!! Therefore–“

Unable to bear the revelation that Cecilia and Adel were no longer virgins, Archbishop Levelk collapsed to his knees in a theatrical manner, raised his hands to the sky, and lamented. Then, disregarding Alexia’s attempts to stop him, he uttered the words that would become the trigger for the impending battle.

“–They must be eradicated. Those defiled women. They must be killed. Those former believers who follow those defiled women. They must be annihilated. Those pitiful sinners who have been deceived by a man even lower than a beast!! Those abominable heretics!!”

“What!? You… insulted Kazuya-sama again, didn’t you? You even said that he is lower than a beast…? Fine. I can’t stand it anymore. You shall atone for insulting Kazuya-sama with your life!”
